Stay further out or pay more
Older and much more run-down than expected from this chain. Shower sliding doors are t sealed and leak onto floor. Mini fridge (no matter what setting) is so cold as to freeze any drinks. Outlets worn out and anything plugged wont stay on. Overall, better off paying slightly more for hotels in same vicinity or staying further outside the city

Staff was great. Stored our bags before we could check in. Room roomy and clean. Libby has great snacks and plenty of chargers. Only downside is you need to uber to downtown.

It was a fine 2 star experience.
Not sure why the reviews here were so high. It was fine, but nothing more than that. Your basic 2 star hotel experience. Wide photo making it look like a big hotel are mis-leading. It's just the small building in the middle, not the big complex the photo makes it look like. Staff was friendly, rooms and facility need a makeover. My bathroom toilet was loose, shower door needed repair. Everything else kinda dated. Honestly it was fine. Your basic Holiday Inn experience I guess it was just the reviews were so high my expectations were higher, so that's why the lukewarm review. Breakfast was ok, nothing special other than it was adequate. I was alone so it was ok, but if my fiancé had come with me I'm sure we would have moved to at least a 3 star experience.

I was very disappointed with our room. I have always had a good experience with Holiday Inn, but this was not in-line with what I have come to expect. We had a toilet that ran all of the time and would not flush consistently. The shower door didn't close. Our room was not cleaned one day. We had no towels one day and it took way too long to receive them once I asked for them.

Our room had people in it
Our trip did not start out well because when we got to our room we were shocked to see two guys in the room when we opened the door. Traveling with a 3 year old we were not pleased. It took them over 30 minutes to resolve the situation at the front desk and when we finally got moved to another room the tissues were soaking wet and pee was all over the wall in the bathroom. I went back down to the front desk and requested a new box of tissues, but it was never brought back to my room. The parking situation was not ideal either. The lot was full and we had to park in a nearby garage as directed by the front desk and they did not tell us it would be $22 per day. Do not recommend.

At check in I was given to info about where anything is, including parking. I had to go back and ask. My room was not able to show any local TV or channels only Roku which was a huuuuuuuuge disappointment and even maintenance had to come up to get that going. My stay was then overcharged by $92 and I'm waiting on that refund to my card. Luckily I went down there to get a itemized bill!!! So in all it was a big disappointment as I'm here alone and it was my first stay here.

The keys to our room did not work. We had to have them made each and every time. The staff was not helpful. One elevator was not in operation. My elderly parents room had no air. We asked for a different room for them and front desk told us they were full and no options. The handy man would not take that as an answer and got them moved to a new room, but that was after midnight. We have a student there and will be coming often to visit. We will not stay here again. I completely understand that things happen, but the attitude of the staff made the situation worse.

Communication needs to improve
Everything was great, except for checkin. We waited two hours PAST check-in time, and front desk staff wasn’t permitted to give us any information. When I finally told them my husband is a cancer patient and needed to lie down, they told me that the class of room I had reserved was not clean yet, but that we could have a different type of room. If they’d offered that earlier, we wouldn’t have spent 2.5 hours sitting on hard chairs in the lobby. I don’t blame the front desk staff or the clearly overworked housekeeping staff. This is a management failure; train/empower your staff to handle such situations. Telling them to say nothing is guaranteed to create friction.
