This hotel is pretty nice, but they don’t tell you that they have daily large parties and events steps outside your room. Events with hundreds of people until late at night, outside of your room. There is also no benefit to the VIP package AT ALL, so do not pay for that! It’s impossible to get into the restaurant on site, and when we ordered in our room, they didn’t even bring plates for our food. The water bottle fillers are in another building and very tricky to access. Overall, this hotel is overpriced for the service, and having to deal with parties when you’re trying to have a vacation.

Loved this property and would absolutely stay again.. great location near City Market and short walk to the water and park and the Pineapple Fountain. Staff was perfect. You hardly noticed they were there but always right there when we needed anything. We never saw the staff cleaning the rooms and were never disturbed, but rooms were always cleaned when we were out, even though at different times of the day. All furnishings updated and stylish, bathrooms and toiletries luxurious and bedding and robes high quality. Turntable in the room a fun treat, Tall glass bottles in the room fillable with fresh filtered water from the hallway taps, and coffee, tea and treats in the hallway as well. Lovely outdoor restaurant/courtyard for relaxing with fireplace. Wish we took advantage of loaner bicycles.

The staff was fantastic and very accommodating and the property is modern and beautiful. Walkable to so many restaurants and bars we never took the car out during our trip. Thanks to the staff, (especially Christopher) for taking such great care of us. Great work place for a sweethearts getaway. Would love to stay again if we make it back to Charleston.

Weekend away
Amazing location. Weddings were going on all weekend so the hotel was very loud. Music played until after 11 at night which was very loud and we could not sleep. Kitchen shut down on Saturday during the day for the entire afternoon to “get ready for wedding.” Bar was full of people getting drinks from the wedding and there was no room. Overall I loved the location and wanted to love this place but felt like they prioritized weddings over hotel guests so would not recommend this hotel during a weekend

The property was very nice and the location is awesome! We had ants in our room, but the head of housekeeping was AMAZING and got us moved us to another room (even after the front desk said that wasn't possible). They were doing some floor repairs on our second day and it was extremely loud! I had lunch in the restaurant and the noise was so loud the staff were shouting at customers to get their orders. I understand that maintenance has to be done, but a heads up would've been nice so I could've made alternate dining plans.

Great energy in a prime location
We spent 4 nights at the Emeline and really enjoyed our stay. You are right next to the city market, carriage tours and many restaurants, bars and shopping as well as an easy stroll through historic neighborhoods. Our room was swanky with a turntable and plush velvet couch living room with separate kind bedroom. Loved it!
