Best location for football and basketball games
Across the street from U of I. Lobby is spacious and comfortable. Games/books available but not cluttered. Restaurant on location. We booked with the expectation of a tub/shower unit but only a walk in shower. Not easy with a 2 year old but managed. Our room was very nice and had 2 robes for use during our stay. We were informed that there was breakfast until 9:30. When we went down at 9:00 it was unclear where said breakfast was. We asked at front desk and were told there was no continental breakfast but breakfast was available at the restaurant. Quite confusing and it’s frustrating when you get conflicting information. I decided to call down and ask, then it was explained that the continental breakfast is at the restaurant but by then it was almost over. So we went and ate at MerryAnn’s. The employee we asked in person was unhelpful at best. The front desk should be overly helpful and accommodating for guests. It was still a very nice hotel.
