This place is a gem. Very clean and comfortable. Manager is super friendly and gave helpful advice. Can't beat this for the price. Will be staying here again on my next visit.

This is a unique property. It is very clean and close to a lot of outdoor activities. The manager is very friendly and helpful. Central Idaho is not the big city. Challis is not a destination town but this hotel makes it worth your time to make this stop on your journey.

My wife and I booked through expedia and we arrived at the lodge at around 3:40pm and no one from hotel staff was on the facility to check us in. There was a sign with a phone number to call, so I dialed it at least 12 times over a 10 minute period but no one answered. We left. Received a call about an hour later from some lady apologizing that the phone was on silent?? We were already well down the road, as we had no idea what the deal was or why no one was at the hotel who worked there. Absolutely unacceptable.

Property looks like a new and slightly revised nursing home but is clean convenient. Has large rooms and bathrooms with great lighting and showers.
