Maps took us to the front entrance which isn’t a big deal but just know it’s the Student Union so there will be college kids there and they will direct you to the hotel check in which is in a different part of the building. We loved our view of the river and the room was nice. Plenty of towels and washcloths. The door gave us some trouble but with a call from the hallway to the front desk he knew what we needed to do to get it open. Don’t expect to much for breakfast but what they have works. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would book again.

I booked here as I stayed here 20 years ago and it was lovely. I haven't stayed here in a long time as I tried newer hotels in Coralville. This weekend, I came back as I wanted to be closer to campus. For starters, all your client facing staff (front desk, maintenance) are Iowa nice and very professional. Your rooms are borderline uninhabitable and are so overpriced for what you get. I had a leaky ceiling in the bathroom, broan stains in the tub, no bottom sheet on the bottom mattress (it was bare) and the carpet/drapes/furniture are all SO SO dated and worn. These rooms are NOT for anyone doing any kind of business as you offer NO kind of desk nook. I had to move the TV to set up my laptop and work. I was SO incredibly disappointed with the forgotten and dilapidated conditions of the guest room and bathroom. Let me be clear--his was NOT a cleanliness issue. This was management not addressing and spending on rooms. Honestly-it was a time warp. I am an alumni from 25 years ago and was excited to return and say "on campus". To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Whomever manages the property needs to do a hard look at what they are trying to accomplish and whom they are trying to serve. Your client facing crew is great-but I will *never* stay here again as it feels you have no plans to do an upgrade.
