This is a no-nonsense kind of hotel. The location is great, near many different Hawkeye venues and great food choices as well. The mattresses are a bit firm, and the breakfast choices are all pretty basic, but overall, it was a great hotel, and we'll be back again.

I had requested a handicapped room on the first floor, which I received. I have a bad leg which makes walking difficult. The room was close to the lobby and easily reached. Dinner was provided, which was simple fare, but delicious and there was plenty of food available. A bathtub (which is difficult for me to get into), not a shower was provided and a shower chair was provided. The shower chair would have had to be used sideways as it was way too large for the bathtub. The bed was high and difficult for me to get into,

A great place to stay if you have to be near the hospital. They even have a free shuttle to take you there. Everything was perfect. It's was nice to have a room with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot.
