Red Mountain is a half-built ski village. It will be nice when it's finished but for now it's a noisy, muddy building site with poor access roads shared with heavy equipment. The Josie is brand new with large, clean, well equipped rooms and great off-season (i.e. not winter) rates. The restaurant offers a limited menu but the food is excellent, the restaurant staff are friendly and professional, and the prices are not outrageous.

There is active construction going on beside the hotel. Its very dusty and you need to be very aware of your surroundings if you go out for a walk as there is heavy equipment and a ton of construction workers driving around. Parking is limited and $20 a nite if you want to park in the hotel lot - none of this was advised when I booked the hotel. There is one restaurant in the hotel - its expensive and honestly quite disappointing for breakfast and the price. There was nothing else open during the week up the mountain for food or even coffee. If you are going in off season plan to drive into town for at least one meal a day.

Nice property, friendly staff, very nice rooms. Sooo much construction that probably should of been mentioned at booking. Balcony and mountain view was really just a chance to watch buildings being built.

We wanted an upscale hotel and restaurant to celebrate our 49th anniversary but not have to travel too far from our home. The Josie fit the bill perfectly and seeing as it was not skiing season the price was very reasonable for the luxury we experienced. Dinner in the Velvet was a treat and the service exceptional!

The room was very nice, modern and comfortable. It would have been nice to have an extra blanket for those who prefer not to use a comforter. Breakfast was disappointing. The eggs were cold and the berry muffin was so dry that it was inedible.
