The hotel is very nice. The hotel staff is very friendly and pleasant. The restaurant downstairs is very nice with views of the beach and delicious dishes. The terrace has 2 swimming pools and a bar with sea views. It is close to the airport and also to the historic center. The comfortable room, with living room and balcony, strong air conditioning. What we didn't like about the room was that the bathroom outlet didn't work and had power cuts. The shower keeps falling water even though it was closed.

The rooftop pool was nice. The room was big with a separate living room and kitchen. Breakfast was available to purchase on the lobby. It’s located across the road from the beach but waves were really high and water didn’t look that clean. We took a boat tour to Rosario islands and spent a day at the white sandy beaches there where there were no venders bothering you. The location is isolated so we took Ubers to and from the old town everyday. The price of Ubers was always less than $4.

The staff were friendly but there is a bug issue with having the plants on the balconies. Found lots of small ants in the bed. Nothing todo with the cleaners as the room was clean. Young night manager upgraded me to better room. The new room was missing lots of key items in the kitchen. Like cutlery and kitchen knife. The body soap in the master bathroom was empty as well. DETAILS were really lacking!

Bondo was the perfect stay for us from the time of check in. We arrived at 12 which was way before our check in time. The staff was very nice and told us since I am VIP and I was going to be staying for 9 days they upgraded us to a studio and no extra cost. They also took our bags and told us we can enjoy the pool at the rooftop or hang out at the cafe until it was check in time. During our stay we enjoyed the bar at the rooftop as the drinks were delicious and the bartenders were awesome. We also enjoyed the food and lattes at the cafe every morning where you were greeted with a bright nice smile of all the waitresses. Only thing I didn’t like was the are around as is a bit far from Getsemaní and walled city about 10-15 mins in uber depending on the traffic. Only thing I would say I didn’t like was that you have to pay extra if you want your room clean and no extra room towels. However you get very nice clean and big towels daily at the rooftop for you to use while you there. The hotel is located right across from the beach which is a plus but i choose not to go because it was public and I didn’t wanted to deal with the harassment of the vendor. I did go one day to pic a picture with the Cartagena color sign and sand sign. Overall this is a great place for the price I would definitely stay here again when i get the chance to visit beautiful Cartagena as this place is a most place to come back.

If you greeted by Danny at the front desk, you in for a treat because she is very helpful! The location is right next to beach. And the view nice. The rooftop pool area looks very nice (very cute for people who like to take pictures for social media). Also a lot local restaurants nearby that are great and cheaper compared to restaurants in central or bocagrande.

The fact is that I missed my flight on Monday January 13th, 2024 and couldn’t make it to this hotel until Tuesday, I called that Monday to advise of the issue and was given 3/4 of what I spent for that Monday in credit to use at the rooftop bar… That is excellent customer service! Let us note the fact that most of the staff members speak English, all of them are attentive and do care about the work they do. The room was spacious, I was pleasantly surprised, it is like I was upgraded and if that is the case, I didn’t even ask for it. The hotel is underrated, I am A New Yorker and my standards are extremely high because I am an avid traveler. Wow, wow, and wow. This is going to be my hotel every time I come to Cartagena, speaking of this city, the hotel is situated across from the famous Cartagena sign. Bruh! I’m also a writer and I normally do not leave extensive reviews (this is my first), thus this hotel deserves all of my praise. Lastly, when you walk in the lobby, there is this sign by the cafe area “hometel” Definitely, this is not a hotel but a HOMETEL. I wasn’t paid to review this but I believe that when an establishment does the right thing, it ought to be highly regarded Your visibility… A must
