Its very close to the legislative and capitol building, walking distance, buts its very old and creeky and interior looks at least 30 years old. And not in a good way. The continental breakfast is a bit nicer than just continental with toastable waffles and hard boiled eggs and oatmeal and fruit. The second floor has an event space which is very loud until very.late so make sure you're not near that.

The Carson City Plaza Hotel is a very convenient, clean and friendly place to stay in downtown Carson City. The amenities are sparse and breakfast is minimal. However it is a good place to stay that is close to the capital and the museums without a casino in it. The king room was spacious with a small kitchen and a full sized refrigerator.

Well I make my reservations there at least 6 months in advance. I requested a 1st floor room but was put on the 3rd floor. I was informed that there is an elevator (of course) but that is not my issue. The woman at the desk just said they were to busy. I stay there twice a year. I felt that I was just brushed off.

If you wish quietude - ask for the back rooms, not facing the main road. Other than that - heartily recommended! Located near restaurants and shops, plenty parking, comfortable mattress, very quiet a/c, good quality sheets and towels, strong stream of water in the shower, super clean, friendly and supportive staff.

Our stay was very comfortable and the room was roomy. As other comments have noted, the place is old, and shabby. But clean. Our “deluxe” room had a large frig, not mini, which we really needed and was much appreciated. Breakfast area was bright and pleasant, offerings were minimal but adequate.
