So about arrival, I was able to get an early check-in, which was great. And the first room I was in the air conditioner. Unit smelled really bad musty after about an hour. I was not feeling well. So asked to be moved to another room, which they immediately did. I was placed another room down the hall, but unfortunately, the refrigerator was not working. I had food inside of it and I realize it only after a couple hours that it wasn’t working. So the Front Desk was able to put it in a fridge for me, but they really should be checking these rooms out before they place people in them. I feel I paid a lot of money for these rooms and they were not up to standard. The personnel there were great, but that was about it.

Front Desk and staff very attentive. Property very clean, comfortable beds and clean room. Convenient location near airport and Carlsbad. Shower/bathrooms do need an update/ repair because water would get clogged on both shower and sink.

The HVAC system was old and dusty and smelled when the AC was off and only the fan was on. The gentleman who was at the front desk on Saturday night at 17th was great and accommodating. He was a thorough gentleman. Breakfast was wonderful.

Disappointing stay

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The air conditioning didn’t work properly throughout our stay, and despite informing the management, no action was taken to resolve the issue. I was staying with my family, including young children, and it was extremely uncomfortable for all of us especially during the night. It was frustrating to seek the lack of response and concern from the staff. Definitely not the experience we expected or paid for.

Staff/customer service is excellent! Our only concern was parking. Parking spaces are not very wide, and less spaces were available because of construction dumpsters from the Hilton were taking up spaces.
