I loved my stay. Lovely, friendly and helpful hosts, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and a fabulous and very generous breakfast. I recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Carlisle.

Over-night lodge in Carisle
The listing said parking available but no parking nearby and told to use residents' parking. I parked at a nearby restraurant by arrangement with that restraurant when I was having dinner. Very small shower room with the smallest hand basin. Cold breakfast plate but otherwise a very good breakfast, Overall, the pleasant staff made for a fairly enjoyable pvernight stay

The owner was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was superior. Our room was clean and spacious enough. We were disappointed with the parking as that was a major reason for booking here. The parking is a block away and there is no place to unload at the lodge so you have to haul luggage from a block away.

The owner is very nice, made a wonderful English Breakfast for me daily, and greeted me by name with a smile. The room was basic, but clean and safe and in good repair. I would stay at Arkale again if I go back to Carlisle.

Pretty good b&b for the price,breakfast was a bit chaotic,but when everything finally arrived it was pretty good. Parking was an issue.

The owner was extremely attentive, even got some decaf coffee for our room. We were able to book into our room early which was very convenient. The room was very clean and even little touches like cotton buds and cotton wool in the bathroom didn’t go unnoticed. The breakfast, wow, excellent, such a hearty meal, lots to choose from again the owner remembered I drank decaf. Attention to detail was excellent and calling me by my first name made it very welcoming and friendly. I will absolutely visit again. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable.

Nice clean hotel 10mins from station Ishwar and Sabita were very hospitable and welcoming and rounded off with a nice full English breakfast. I will be back when I’m in the area. Well done
