Booked this hotel for concert that we were attending stay was excellent facilities where good and Overall experience was great Will definitely stay there again in the future.

We got to the hotel and had book a superior room , we got to the room and had to ask to change rooms as the temperature was unbearable as the air con wasn’t working only to be moved to another room where the air con wasn’t working so we then had to move again and we were downgraded to a double disabled room and offered no compensation for this as. The bedding had makeup stains on it when we untucked it and the window was smashed. The staff were very quick to change us to different rooms however I was not happy to be downgraded without offering compensation for this aswell as having dirty bedding.

Property was very tired. Air conditioning didn’t work in the first room and the replacement room was incredibly noisey. Tiles in bathroom were broken and lifting. Check in was incredibly slow and reception didn’t pick up their phone when I rung multiple times. Felt unsafe just outside the Hotel.

Only stayed for one night whilst attending the cricket at Sophia Gardens. Convenient for the City. Comfortable and clean. Big room but a bit tired in places. Staff were friendly. Always frustrating when parking and leisure facilities are extra, but that's the way of the world, I guess. Would stay again if still competitive with other City venues

I stayed here for 1 night. It was quite difficult to find the hotel as there is no signage along the road on the hotel that is clear from driving past, but with a couple of u-turns we found it. Check-in was smooth and quick. rooms were immaculately clean. The bed was super comfy, there was a bath and separate shower in my room, which was super handy for my child as she likes a bath. the breakfast was lovely. so much choice especially 'free from' options which I really appreciated. different milks and gluten free options. the car park I felt was a bit expensive, and again poorly signed. I wondered if I was in the correct place at first. but overall a lovely stay and would definitely stay again.

Dump of a hotel made very special by the homeless troop sleeping out the main entrence door. Pay 21 quid to park, 10 quid to swim and 16 quid for breakfast. Dump of a hotel, i fully understand why Mercure sold the place. Never again.
