First nights in CT & SA

Great location in downtown area. Fantastic breakfast. Excellent staff. Bed size in a standard double just a little small and bed not as comfortable as I had wished for. But overall the hotel was a perfect place as our starter location for the trip - enjoyed the great views of Table Mountain and the small rooftop gym location

I wouldn't stay here

Dodgy location at night, especially on the weekend. I'd consider staying in another location. Room was a bit grotty with my bedsheets covered in biro pen. Breakfast was not nice so we ended up going out and spending money on food. No netflix etc access on TVs in rooms.

Great staff and accomodations. Room small but laid out for efficiency. Free breakfast every morning was great. A little mold in our shower that could use some attention.

City Center stay

Pretty much standard HIE facility. Excellent service and a very good room with excellent WIFI and cable service. The only complaint was a very slight cigarette smell and shower stall sliding door was in need of repair. Breakfast was the usual standard fare for HIE. The area is not as nice as the waterfront district, but is getting better.

The staff was marvelous, and did a great job making us feel at home. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent - leaps and bounds what you would expect at a Holiday Inn in America. The room was small, but there were very accessible outlets and outlets with USB ports, and while I didn’t use it, the view from the 15th floor gym was excellent (you get a partial look at Table Mountain). Minor issues aside, this was a great place to stay at a great price, a short and cheap Uber-ride away from the V&A and two blocks from a major stop on the CitySightseeing bus path.

Rooms could have been cleaner,!!! Lobby was full of people trying to check in , 2 girls behind the desk seemed to be more in a party mood rather than interested in the customer . my personal check in took over a hour ! I chose Holiday Inn because I often stay there when travelling but I’ll never go to the downtown Cape Town Holiday Inn again
