Better than most 4-star hotels where I have stayed
Clean, friendly, luxurious-- definitely one of the most enjoyable stays of my life -- which is a lot to say for a solo off-season vacation where I didn't know a soul. The room was thoughtfully constructed and beautifully furnished. The kitchenette was more kitchen-like than any room I have ever stayed in that was not an efficiency. Housekeeping was impecable. The Pier House Restaurant service and food was top notch. The concierge,Caskia, was a local who really knew the area well. The staff treated me like we had been lifetime friends. What more could I ask for?

Mid October 2024
We went in mid-October. They had closed the "heated" pool the day before which was disappointing. The ocean view room we had was very nice & spacious. I was put off by the photos of these rooms showing trays of food and trendy blue water bottles. They do not offer room service nor was the restaurant even open the duration of our stay. They opened for breakfast as we were leaving Friday. Too little too late. When we tried to get a couple of wine glasses to take back to our room the front desk was unable to accommodate even that. The Keurig coffee maker was difficult to get to work. The large walk in shower looked awesome and the idea is nice but the practicality of the giant overhead shower head leaves you with a wet head and no option for directionality. But it was still nice and encompassing. On a PLUS side, the maid service was timely and good even though there was a little hair noticeable on the bathroom floor daily as well as on arrival. The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean and crisp. We left the doors open at night so we could hear the ocean but the dunes sufficiently block this and we could barely hear any waves. Still, the 3rd floor gives a very nice view. Plenty of sufficient parking. I would recommend, but will be trying other hotels in the future. The 4pm check in seems a little late compared to other hotels we have frequented in the past.
