I liked the property and rooms. I had the junior suite with the swim up which was comfortable. The service was horrible. Room service took over an hour. That’s understandable with such a large resort. However, there was one instance where I ordered breakfast and it never came. This was very frustrating. Most of the staff was rude and unwelcoming. I always tip for great service but most of them didn’t deserve it. Once night at dinner we waited almost 15 minutes for a refill of water. When we asked for assistance she got an attitude. We went on the catamaran excursion with Nexus tours which was amazing. We also had airport transport with them. Overall, I enjoyed St. Lucia but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I know I wouldn’t do it again.

We were disappointed in our stay at the Royalton. It was our honeymoon and we originally requested a king bed. They gave us a room with double queens. The room also had broken tiles and a broken toilet paper holder with screws coming out of the wall. It did not take long to realize the staff at the Royalton were not very friendly. They also were not accommodating. It seemed like every request we had was a burden to them. We paid good money for the all inclusive experience, yet we received it begrudgingly. Out of all the staff that worked at this resort, I counted only four that were kind and helpful. The food provided at the resort was not bad, but it was not very good. Everything tasted very bland, with the exception of the Japanese and steakhouse restaurant. When ordering drinks at restaurants the wait time to receive them was too long. Sometimes our food would arrive before our drinks. It was poor service overall. I expected better based on what I paid. The grounds were nice at the Royalton, however the beach was full of solicitors trying to get you to purchase excursions. It was difficult to relax. Men would interrupt at least every 15 minutes. Overall, if you are looking for an all inclusive resort in St. Lucia I would look elsewhere. There have to be better options with friendlier staff.

My vacation was amazing the only complaints I have are the staff would take a very long time if I requested something for my room such as wash cloths and towels. The room service whenever ordering food actually came in a timely manner. My big problem was the couch that was in our room was filthy so we just didn’t sit down on it. Other than those things the stay was great!

I just want to say that Christian the front desk manager was very accommodating after I had a mishap with my booking no fault of Royalton. Additionally, Neil and Kenali was great. I cannot stressed how they took time to ensure myself and family was comfortable, nothing seems like a bother and for that I’m so grateful. It’s a beautiful property multiple dinning options too much for the short stay. Lots to do, excellent shopping options. Indeed a great choice for families.

Worst.Checkin.Ever. At Checkin, after flying 5 hours and driving 2 more hours from St Lucia airport to this remote resort, the Royalton staff announced they have rooms for us for only 1 night. (We’d booked 2 rooms for 4 nights.) At some point, they said we had to pack up and change to other rooms. Because they over-booked their hotel. On Expedia and months ahead of time, we’d made that booking. No discount or special deal. We paid Full price. If we knew that Expedia / Royalton would force us mid-vacation to pack up and change rooms due to their over-booking, we would’ve chosen another resort. It was only a 5-day vacation. To top it off, after begging manager Barrington not to make us change (he promised to try to keep us in same rooms), and having spent 45 minutes checking in & waiting for Barrington to show up, the keys to the room didn’t work… Like a cruel joke, we had to schlep all the way back to Reception with our bags and wait again to have them correctly program the keys. Worst.Checkin.Ever. It gets better… Night manager Barrington promised he’d try to avoid making us change rooms and that maybe we wouldn’t have to change. Barrington called my room 2x that 1st night to confirm my cell# so that I would be notified directly about any change. The next morning 10:00am, day manager Christian called my kids’ room (not my cell..) and told my kid he had to get out in 2 hours. My kid didn’t know anything about it and was really confused and scared. No one told me anything.

Beautiful grounds and rooms. However the elevators throughout the property never worked properly. Everyday the elevator was out of service, forcing the elderly, disabled, and families with babies (strollers, diaper bags, etc) to go up flights of stairs. Extremely inconvenient for the amount of money paid to stay at the resort. Would have been a lovely experience if the elevators worked and there was more variety of food options available.
