The rooms were clean and quiet. Grounds and common areas were well maintained. Pool was clean. Check-in and check-out was seamless. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly, especially Tomas at the CharHut and Beach bar!! Good food options. First time at this resort and it will not be the last.

We have stayed at three different properties in Cancun. The Royal Sands is by far our favorite. We have absolutely no complaints. The staff is friendly and wonderful as a matter of fact, one of the reasons that we go to the Royal send every year is because 10 years ago my husband was rescued by a lifeguard there named Leo. He still works there and we go and see him every year and every year I thank him for saving my husband‘s life. This time we went they had a Michael Jackson show and it was amazing. We made reservations at Hacienda sisal And the mariachis were wonderful. Our children are now grown, but they added a waterpark which they did not have before.

Need to improve the food options. The quality went down. Time to serve a good coffee at La Veranda (used to be!). The resort needs a coffee shop (not Starbucks). Five stars are for an amazing people who work at this resort!

We just returned from our vacation at The Royal Sands in Cancun, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. The resort offers excellent amenities, the pool areas are beautiful and well-maintained, and the beach views are absolutely stunning. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always eager to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. One point to note: the resort only offers two room types—Junior and Senior Suites. The Junior Suite comes with two queen-size beds, which may not be ideal for all couples or solo travelers. A king-size bed option would definitely be a great addition. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

They upcharge u on everything and lie it's all inclusive and it's a timeshare property when I got there they made me change my room the next day and when they put me in the new room, the tenants were still there showering and my kids have to see a naked person walking out of the shower

It was good. Food was always cold in buffet. Pool bar wait staff didn’t make many trips around to see if you needed refills. The concierge we had Ali was fantastic. Very helpful reached out to us often.

The property is gorgeous and so clean and well maintained. Every person is so friendly and helpful.. Our room was very comfortable and well stocked. The view from our room was amazing as it looked out over two of the pools, the cabana grill and the ocean. Our group played beach volleyball and it was so fun. Buffet was good and the fresh grilled options are the best choice. The restaurant "Sisal" had outstanding food and i loved both our meals there. I dont drink much but unlike a cruise boat these were not watered down. The photography staff was so talented. The shops inside had what you to enjoy on your vacation. We will be back...

We were offered two free 50 minute massages if we sat through their presentation for timeshares. When we told them we were not interested, they brought in another person who was quite pushy. Finally had to get rude and tell them we were finished, 40 minutes past the agreed upon time frame. Upon completion of the presentation we were only given one free massage for our time. Furthermore, the beds in the "top tier" rooms were extremely hard and uncomfortable. They did bring us two mattress covers when we complained about it. Will not be returning to this establishment, and probably won't visit their other establishments either.

Concierge and front desk staff were dishonest and overall poor quality. The “deposit” is not a deposit at all, the hotel works like a child entertainment center where you basically load money into your account and have to recharge it if it runs out. Once your funds run out on your account, your room keys shut off until you go to the front desk to “reload” your funds, literally unable to get into your room. You are treated like a VIP until you deny buying the timeshare, at which point you are treated totally differently. Do not accept the “discounted” excursions as they pull you into a 5 hour trip that they do not notify you of, where they drop you off at different locations like a jewelry store and a market where you can’t leave until they come back to pick you up and are basically forced to buy the products they are selling, a 100% scam. Won’t ever stay at a Royal Resort again.

The location of this resort is absolutely stunning. They have a very good piece of real estate on the beach. Staff are very welcoming and polite as well. My one negative experience which is a pretty big one is the quality of the food. I was extremely disappointed on how bland and disgusting the food was. Honestly the quality reminded me of hospital food. But other than that everything else was great.
