We paid 12K USD for a 10-day Christmas break but did not receive the value we expected. Booking restaurants was very difficult, and the wait times for no-reservation meals (breakfast, lunch, coffee) and even lobby checkout were consistently long - sometimes between 20 and 60 minutes. It makes no sense for the whole family to spend 30 minutes just to check out. The on-site medical center appeared closed and when we needed a doctor, we had to book an appointment at a public relations office and wait over four hours. Additionally, the membership sales staff were pushy and called our room early in the morning, disrupting our family’s sleep. Finally, the hotel silently charged our room a “donation.” During checkout, they presented the entire room bill without informing us of any extra charges. When I asked why I was charged a “donation,” I was told it was voluntary and that I was not obligated to pay. But charging without prior notice is not a voluntary donation—it’s a scam. Many visitors may not inspect each transaction closely and could end up paying for this hidden charge, so the hotel continues to take advantage. Despite the premium pricing, we felt the resort lacked sufficient staffing or systems to deliver a comfortable, hassle-free experience. In the reviews here I see many promises to improve, but no one actually cares. Don’t expect a better experience here just because you’re paying more than in another hotel.

We stayed at Moon Palace The Grand this December and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very modern and impressively large, with golf carts often needed to get around. During check-in, we requested a room near the water park, which was very convenient. It was within walking distance to the water park, the Playroom, and not far from the main lobby. The indoor activities were excellent for families. Our child loved the trampoline park, and there were plenty of games for older kids. Rainy days were no problem, as there was lots to do indoors. Dining met our expectations. Dinners require reservations, and you can book three days in advance. While we had high hopes for the Circus restaurant, the experience fell short, partly due to being seated in a corner. Other restaurants were easier to book and provided great meals. Dining at the sister hotels was also a nice perk. The beach was average, with strong waves making it unsuitable for swimming. For better sea views, the Hotel Zone might be a better option. One downside was the timeshare sales. Despite declining the offer during check-in, we received a call at 8 AM the next day, which was annoying. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The convenience, activities, and dining make it an excellent choice for families with kids.

It’s a great property. We enjoyed our stay at moon palace grand. Good, ambience, access to beach, activities for kids was all excellent. Only thing that bothered us was lack of reservations for it being all inclusive. You have to be on top to find a reservation at some places. Cusco was lacking service big time. Despite reservations at 9:30 pm we left without food as our food wasn’t served till 10:40 pm. Not sure how busy kitchen was but till 10:40 no food was very disappointing. Last I want to say Agra restaurant at Sunrise is just a fake hype. They have empty restaurant tables but still would not let any reservation open. During our stay I continued to try to get reservations but couldn’t get any. We walked in hoping to wait but still try the hype food. To my surprise the restaurant was almost empty and they didn’t give us a seat. And I am talking about lunch time not even dinner. Very disappointing. Overall it’s a good place to have a good vacation.

The restaurant Habibi did not have a goof service and polite staff that’s our one complaint and other I’d getting reservations for dinner is extremely challenging. Overall everything was awesome and amazing.
