The ocean and beach are stunning, pools are okay - a bit cold! Plenty of beach and pool seating. Diamond Club good for the upgraded beverages and reservations. The Resort Credit is a joke (but to be expected). Food was average but not terrible. Chopstick was our favorite

This is our second time at Royalton Chic. We came back for a 40th birthday celebration and had so much fun. Alexa on the beach always made sure we were fed and watered. The entire staff was so accommodating. No complaints!

The staff at the resort was really the only thing that earned 5 stars. The pools were cold but sadly they were much warmer than the jacuzzi/ hot tub. The restaurants were closed or not taking reservations cause nothing was available, yet they were always empty Elevators were VERY slow. Sometimes took more than 5 mins to get to your floor. The rooms were nice. They were clean but the walls were paper thin so you heard everything going on outside. The cafe and gift shop were not open early enough. People like to go on the excursions and they pick up as early as 6:30am so you cannot get supplies for the day or even a coffee to start your day. I paid everything upfront yet. I still had secret charges when I got there for taxes and money to hold. There was no mini bar in the rooms, which is usually in every resort that is all inclusive. And you usually get top shelf liquor, not stuff that no one’s ever heard of. The friends I went with got the diamond club, which basically gives you nothing It took over two hours to be able to check in my room late. I had to keep coming back.

While Royalton Chic Cancun is a beautiful resort, our experience was marred by severe service failures and poor management. For over 33 hours, our room had no running water — no toilet, no shower, no ability to brush teeth or wash hands. The hotel’s only solution was to suggest we use the lobby restroom — 15 floors down with painfully slow elevators. This was not feasible, especially since my husband was bedridden recovering from dental surgery and suffers from Crohn’s disease. We were offered no apology and minimal communication. To make matters worse, the water was shut off again on our departure day. Although I was told they were considering reimbursing four nights, I’ve received no follow-up despite reaching out multiple times. Guests who accepted previous refund offers also report not receiving their compensation, which is deeply concerning. This situation was not only inconvenient, it was degrading and unsanitary. The resort’s failure to resolve it with urgency or compassion is unacceptable. I’ve been more than patient and hoped for a fair resolution, but their lack of accountability is shocking for a Marriott-branded property. Warning to future guests: If you expect basic amenities like running water or need accommodations for health concerns, be cautious. When things go wrong, you may be left completely on your own.

Incredible stay at royalton chic. Was my first time here and I will definitely be back. The rooms were incredible, and the ocean view was very nice to wake up to every morning. The restaurants were delicious, the buffet had many options. The staff were very nice, however the service was a little under par for the price you pay for the resort. My friend and I were used to going into the buffet at other places, and being seated by staff, getting you your drinks, being personal and remembering you. We found at the buffet here, they would not remember to bring your drinks and it took very long, you would have to ask for coffee several times before receiving one. Kuri was very nice, kind, and friendly. Continued to bring us drinks and was very personable. The bartenders at the pool refused to give my friends and I 8 shots- there were 10 of us. We did tip the bartenders, and I tip the same at each resort I go to, however, they were unwilling to make more than a few drinks despite group size. Other than that, great resort and walking distance to the downtown area. Entertainment was great, night DJ was great. Wish there was more entertainment during the day, more music playing during the day.

Had some issues with check in initially (had paid for an ocean room but they had me in the “sunset” room). Was able to get an ocean room after providing my email receipt. Other than that, it was ok. Food pretty decent drinks and were good as well. What I really liked about the resort was the closeness to the beach and how the pool overlooks the ocean. Of note, the rooftop bar only includes soft drinks. You have to pay for alcoholic drinks and all food as it’s a “different company” that’s runs the rooftop bar.
