I do not recommend this resort. First two days we either have lukewarm showers or cold showers. Our ceiling was leaking and part of the ceiling fell onto our bathroom countertop. It was at 2:30 in the morning. They did not offer to clean it up or anything. We had to use our own towels to clean it up. Elevators took forever. And there are no stairs from the higher floors down to floor three where the stairs connect to the rest of the hotel.

This property looks impressive at a glance. But once you arrive and look closer at the rooms and grounds, you notice the wear and tear and the lack of attention paid to replacing and upgrading. The staff are polite and kind and will tell you what you want to hear but do not follow through. If you are looking for a shady spot to relax, good luck, as there are a limited number of umbrellas (some broken and not replaced), and the staff does not help provide more or remove the broken ones. The rooms are air-conditioned, but the degree of coldness is debatable. It is very hot and uncomfortable to sleep at night. A new development is being constructed next to it that can be very noisy during the day, and I'm sure it will just get louder as they build and open. The food, however, was great.

Property was beautiful. When we got in the room it was hot and had a wet smell. It eventually went away. The water was off for a few hours on our third day which was an inconvenience because we were attending a wedding on the property. Had to shower in someone else room. Twice we came back to the room and the door was WIDE open! All of our belongings exposed for hours. We made sure we closed the door behind us and it happened again. We still have no clue what that was about. I most likely wouldn’t stay here again, but the property was definitely beautiful.

We enjoyed the beach, the pools were nice but could have offered more mature adult activities, as they cater to the 18-30 age range mostly. Snorkeling, aqua fit daily, yoga and games for 30-60 age range was almost non existant. offered 2 small spanish lessons, but would have liked more of this on language and culture in Mexico. IE- best vanilla, conversational spanish etc.

I just recently stayed at this property with 6 people. I reserved for conjoined rooms and didn’t get it, wasn’t even on the same floor. Rooms were good, house keeping didn’t come daily or fridge restocked each day had to call to be serviced and still I’d have to ask 2-3 times for water bottles. Food was mediocre. Drinks strong and beach clean. Overall an okay experience. I’ve stayed at better all inclusives

My fault for not reading the fine print about spring breakers. 18 year olds and 50’s not a good mixture. Resort had a lot of fun entertainment but unfortunately the young immature kids screaming, puking breaking the drinking glass on the dance floor was not the vibe I was expecting. We also had diamond club which included a butler that was kind of a joke-never met-him he reached out on the last day to meet up….at that point,what are you going to help us do. We figured it all out ourself with the app.Diamond club included upgrade in liquor which you had to walk way out of the way to retrieve it. Decent food, decent facility but definitely not a 5 star resort.

This was my second time staying at the Royalton Chic Diamond Club. I stayed there last year and this year the service has changed for the worst. Everyday i stayed i experienced no water for hours in the room. When the water did come on it will start out brown and smelled like sewage. I had to change rooms and still experienced lack of running water in the room. I did not receive the complimentary hydrotherapy like i did last year and there was no fruit basket and bottle of champagne like i experienced last year. I rented a cabana with a hot tub but the hot tub was inoperable when I first arrived but they were able to repair it. This morning I had coordinated with Nexus tours to provide transportation to and from the airport. The shuttle arrived at 8:45 am instead of 10:00 am. Nexus Tours was recommended by the Royalton Chic and even has a tour office in the Royalton. To my surprise no one even tried to contact me to let me know that the shuttle was here. This vacation was disappointing from the time I arrived til the time I left.

Almost everything was amazing. Was sad to leave. if one thing could be fixed it would be the elevators. there is no stairs past the third floor and the wait for an elevator was longer than 10 minutes at times. when you did get an elevator, you would be riding with at least 6 people.
