I didn’t hate my stay, but I’m not eager to return. The service in general was just fair - the swim up bar would have 4-5 workers behind it at almost any given time but only one guy serving, who seemed stressed cause it was always so busy. I went to guest services a couple of times and same thing, a few people there but one waiting on us. The coffee shop, same thing. Gift shop prices for snacks was absolutely absurd. I’ve seen high prices before; you just know for the convenience they’re gonna be high but a red bull, $10 USD, a bag of chips, $17 USD.. Tried paying the environmental tax in pesos (we are in Mexico after all) however they refused their own currency & would only accept USD. As someone that doesn’t even use USD, this was frustrating & stupid.. I’m in Mexico, let me use YOUR currency. My room was in a not-so-new building & the first night I went to get something out of my suitcase I saw bugs, so I moved my suitcase and found even more, then started removing my clothes from my suitcase and they were falling out of my clothes. I had a little bit of coffee left in my cup & the next morning there were about 8 bugs floating in it. The food was delicious, the buffet had tons of options. Drinks weren’t bad. The waitress around the pool was fantastic. FYI for the beach - you will not get crystal clear water here in south Cancun, it’s murky but there wasn’t any sargassum.

5 of us stayed for 11 nights. 3 adults, 2 kids. Had 2 rooms, Luxury Family Suite Ocean View Diamond Club. We were in building 6. Partial ocean view & faced the main pools. Overall the stay was good, I was nervous with the reviews beforehand. But we did have a great time! It’s what you make of it. Yes the resort needs improvements, we did see multiple construction projects on the go during our stay. It was not a distraction to us. The rooms were a bit dated but again, we did not spend much time in them so all good! There is a lot of walking at this resort, it is the largest we’ve stayed at. I felt for the people that had mobility issues as it was quite the trek around here. We were originally in building 3 & it was too far. We did switch to building 6 so we were side by side & it is definitely a more central area which we loved. The check in process in DC was slow for sure. Just seemed to drag on longer than necessary. Some pros: the pools were nice, cold but nice. The beach is beautiful with turquoise water! Sand is so soft! Drinks were delicious, most food was good & we really enjoyed the food trucks as well as nibbles. Favourite restaurant would be Grazie, it was the most consistent. The coffee shop is amazing, we went there multiple times per day! Majority of the staff were nice, one was rude about me taking 4 towels for 5 people. Both my kids cut their toes on sharp tiles in the DC pool so be cautious wear water shoes! Dangerous drop downs & uneven walkways everywhere!

We were diamond club thanks to the fabulous efforts of Kalhed at the front desk! He was amazing. Our butlers, Rick and David, were attentive and fun. Helped make the holiday. Loved the food but not enough staff in the buffet. Needed to secure pool chairs by 6:30 to get an umbrella. Every bar only had 1 bartender. Some really good entertainment. Some of the resort needed a facelift but people were very friendly

Resort is a bit dated but bed was comfortable, shower was great, and everything was in working order. Great staff. Buffet was very good and dinner at the steakhouse was excellent. Main complaint is too loud music in the pool area. But was great value for what we paid.

Not returning to this resort. Don’t be fooled when it states check in is 3pm. We arrived at 5pm, waited in line to get to the counter. We were given a buzzer device and told that it would be a long wait and to return once our buzzer went off. After 1 1/2 hours our buzzer buzzed and we finally were able to check in. We were “upgraded” to the adult only section - which was fine with us as there were a ton of children at this resort. We were then told we needed to go to the Hideaway adult only lobby. There we waited in line again to get our bracelets activated. It’s now 7:30pm, we traveled all day and were tired and hungry. We go to our room finally. I check it out thoroughly, it was quite dated. First thing I noticed was weird red stains on the tub that was in the middle of the room. The towels had stains on them. There were hairs in the sheets. There was 1/2 a screw on the floor that would hurt if stepped on. One of my pillow cases had holes all over it. I immediately went to the lobby and told them the room was disgusting, I wanted to change rooms and if there was nothing available I wanted a refund and would change hotels. I presented pictures as well. They said there were no rooms available but would send someone right away to do a deep clean. We returned to the room at 8:45pm. Only the sheets were changed. The pillow with the holes was removed, not replaced. Hotel is dated. Fridge not restocked every day. Heard many other guests complaining.

My first review. Stayed at lots of resorts in Mexico that were a lot cheaper had the same or better experience. Staff is extremely rude starting with front desk. Roaches in the room including fridge. Drinks are bad, food is ok. Other resort guest felt exactly the same and all of of us will never be back. For the price food and drinks should of been so much better, staff should of been organized and polite.
