Its clean. Staff is very good, lots of restaurants to choose. Food is good. The rooms are not what i expected too small. The hotel was a little too expensive

The resort needs some updates for sure, but that doesn't deter me!!!! Love the resort itself, pools, beach, restaurants and most importantly the staff. They are all so kind and helpful! Wouldn't want to be anywhere else! I love my Riu family!

This is a large hotel, with a mix of guests from all over the world. We were traveling as a family with three kids aged between 9 and 14, and we found that this was a family friendly hotel. We did not have the best check-in experience as the two bedroom suite we had booked was not available, and they gave us two separate rooms for the first night. Our transfer to our new room (which was what we had booked) on the second day took many back-and-forths, which essentially wasted one day of our vacation. The hotel gave us a free 25-minute couples massage to compensate, and Expedia gave us credit, so in the end we were ok, we are just glad we hadn’t booked any excursions for that day.This is a live and kicking hotel, and we enjoyed people watching and relaxing by the pool and beach. Everything was clean, particularly our rooms, and housekeeping did a stellar job turning the sheets and towels around for us daily. The air conditioning in the rooms worked great. Our only complaint about this hotel was the quality of the food. The buffet was huge, colorful and witha lot of variety, but we found that a lot of things looked a lot better than they tasted. Room service options were also limited, but the sports bar was open 24hrs for burgers and hotdogs if needed. Also, while this is an all inclusive hotel, we found that everybody was tipping dollar bills (or two or three or five), so don’t forget your cash! Even if you have only big bills with you, there was change available at the bars.

The resort was beautiful and the grounds were immaculate. The staff were helpful and friendly. They made me smile when I came back into my room to a towel birthday cake, balloons and a slice of cheesecake for my birthday. I loved the size of the room, probably the biggest resort room I’ve ever had! I loved the beach at the resort also. The beach has 2 areas, both with a breeze to keep you cool in the sun. The buffet is beautiful with many choices. My partner enjoyed the Mexican tacos every night. I really enjoyed the Italian a la carte buffet they have inside of the restaurant. We also made use of the sports bar to watch the hockey game. The cafe in the lobby for coffee opens late at 10 am but you can get coffee at the buffet or the sports bar before that.

This hotel is not safe. My staff was stolen by the swimming pool. The management didn’t help me with nothing. They don’t want to show me the cameras and they said the cameras don’t cover the swimming pools area. For the safety of tourists they should have cameras everywhere.

Beautiful resort and scenery. The rooms and view were amazing. The check in staff even gave me a free upgrade to a beautiful room. The only thing I wish there were more meat options besides pork products for breakfast options everyone does not eat pork, but overall experience was good.
