Beautiful hotel. Very clean and staff very friendly. Plenty of activities by the pool. The shows at night were ok. Some very good , some a bit boring. The only negative comment I have is taboru the water sports. Website says they are being offered by you have to actually walk to a different hotel to rent anything . Then the staff tells you there’s a shortcut path back but the path is actually an ocean walk with sharp rocks. Not happy about that at all . Overall we really enjoyed the hotel and would come back again

I like how everything is so close together. You can even walk across the street and shop. Property isnt large, but uses its space well. Several dining options, but steakhouse and buffet were the best. Room service not great. Drinks at bars aren’t very strong, liquor is provided in rooms.

This is a wonderful place to stay with great food and people . Only thing about it is I wish everything stayed open later including the pools since it’s an adult resort . I will definitely stay here again .

I honestly hate leaving bad reviews, but sometimes it has to be done. First the room. It smelled so badly, like chemicals and very strong. We made a complaint and was told it's too late to move to another room. That's fine, but then nothing was done to remedy that. Second, the shower was not working and when we tried to make a call to the front desk and the phone was not working either. That was fixed, only for the shower to again not work when we tried to use it again (the top half was not working). We made due with the bottom half of it. Lastly that pool bar. The odor that comes from there is toxic. You could not sit at the bar without it engulfing you. I will say though that the staff was amazing. That is probably the only reason i would give the resort a few stars. This was my first and last stay at the Riu Las Americas.

This is everything you'd like in a vacation. They don't have crazy parties scheduled in this location so it was perfect for us. All the parties were offered in their other locations with transportation, food, and drinks included. Such a great location to relax and enjoy your time.

Food was hit and miss. The buffet offered some good options but don’t expect lobster, crab legs or prime rib. The specialty japanese restaurant food was ok but not japanese at all. The italian restaurant was so, so. The mexican restaurant food was great but they had obnoxious loud music that made us feel we were at a cheap cantina. Their fusion Krystal restaurant was our best experience both in terms of food and atmosphere. Service and cleanliness was outstanding. Their beach is amazing. We really loved the poolside barbecue, although they had it only one day of the 5 we stayed. The room was very good with a great ocean view. All in all we had a very good experience and we would stay at this hotel again.
