Amazing property, very clean hotel, food was good but no variety, the service lacked in friendliness, for food areas everything was on a strict time limit and if u came late for anything there was no grace for anything, and the staff was very rude about that, but absolutely beautiful clean hotel with amazing shows!

Food was ok, it was hard to get into the restaurants and every restaurant had, except 2 had a buffet. All of the eating places were very loud, with tables being moved and plates hitting each other. There were no food options on the beach.

Staff entered our room and gathered our belongings, moved them to another room, without our knowledge or consent. Girl at front desk, lied and denied having a conversation with us. General Manager stood by her side, said we we lying and they did nothing wrong. A simple apology and acknowledgment of the situation would have been appreciated. Luna, the General Manager was a horrible host. Couldn’t even make a meeting that she set on Tim. I had to wait 15 extra minutes.

We stayed at the Riu Palace Costa Mujeres last week for 5 days. The cleanliness of the rooms was great. The entire vibe of the hotel is modern and elegant but still allows you to feel comfortable and relaxed. They have a good variety of food. I just did not prefer the 3-5 food snacks. Access to an Impressive beach is one of a kind!! The entertainment was also very good! I cannot say enough about the attention that my entire family received at this hotel. The only suggestion that I have is to book trips into town ahead of time since the hotel is a bit far from the hotel zone. I would definitely return to this resort.

Wish they had better mattresses. But other then that I love the beach this property has, food was okay. Very family friendly which for us it was great.

Our suite was beautiful with excellent housekeeping, including a cute towel figure on the bed daily. The resort has many restaurants and a lovely cappuccino cafe. There are multiple pools and the beach is stunning -- we walked the miles of white sand every day. The biggest downside is that the location is north of Cancun in Costa Mujeres and very isolated. Unlike many resort areas you can't just walk outside and access public transportation or walk to shopping, nightclubs, or recreational places. We ordered Uber and taxis at an additional expense. There is also no shuttle to and from the airport. It is a beautiful resort if you want to stay there and not go anywhere.

Beautiful resort. Riu new design complex. Very clean & organized. Although… we were room 0167. Great ocean view & location to pools. The room is located below the Taste buffet. Chairs & tables dragging all hours. Mostly meal time ( barely stand the noise) & all night when staff are cleaning. Not much sleep or afternoon resting in room. We have been to quite a number of Riu resorts , this location & incredible beaches are now one of our favourites in Cancun area We will return , just not staying near the past location. .

Clean property. Every minute someone is cleaning the glass or the pool area. It is a fun resort with lots to do. I liked the Art studio where we can paint and sketch and draw. I liked the stand alone tub in the rooms. I liked the entertainment. The food was okay. I am allergic to shellfish and pork and they had too much, as there was cross contamination of the shellfish and the regular foods like chicken. But they did offer vegetarian options which was okay.

The property is very nice and clean. The staff are mostly helpful. The food wasn’t good at all. From the fake hamburger patties by the pool to the Italian restaurant pasta that reminded me of Chef Boyardee. I will not come back.
