This was our first international family vacation, so we have nothing to compare to, but we thought everything was excellent. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, food and drinks were good, room and resort overall was kept very clean. If I had any complaints it would be that at the time of our visit the water slide was under repair, the buffet retaurant could have used some updated dinning furniture (some of the chairs were a little questionable to sit on) and staff do not enforce saving beach chairs for the day so chairs often were hard to come by. We also didnt realize at the time how many extras we would end up adding to our room charges (cabana rentals, special events, wine, etc), but we know now for next time. We took a cab to the ferry and out to Isla Mujeres to do the Dolphin Discovery for one day but otherwise we spent the entire vacation on the resort by a pool or in a cabana by the ocean. The kids loved playing in the waves. There are activities available on the beach like parasailing, and body board rentals. Overall it was a great time and we would stay again.

It’s exhausting when you go to a place for vacation the purpose it’s to rest but the first thing they do is having sale in their mind, I understand that i truly do but when a person says no it’s no and they to pushers they not even let you to think about it, its like now o never.

Memorable Family Stay

Service was exceptional. Staff always went above and beyond. Food was really good. I liked the buffet grill style because you can cook what you like. And the buffet breakfast had plenty of selections. Overall, was a memorable family trip.

Why too many steps. Food wasn't good. This is a kids resort. Not enough entertainment. The only thing 5 star was the staff, everything else was on average a 2.5 star.

First and foremost, the resort staff that we interacted with were absolutely wonderful. Having said that, the food was mostly average, there was urine on our toilet that was never cleaned up, and water leaked from the air conditioning unit in our room the entire time.

I chose this place for my first trip to Cancun, hoping for a great experience. While there were some good aspects, I also had unpleasant experiences that left a bad impression. Some staff members made me feel subtly discriminated against because of my race. Of course, not everyone was like that—some were kind and professional—but their attitude toward us felt noticeably different from how they treated other foreign guests. One incident happened at the front desk. A young, slim male staff member raised his voice at me during a currency exchange. I wasn’t being rude—I even apologized while correcting the amount—but he ignored me and kept talking aggressively. I couldn’t shake the discomfort of being treated that way while handling my own money. At a restaurant, despite available tables, we were told to wait 30 minutes to an hour because we were a party of five. When I questioned why, they suddenly found us a table. I noticed other guests being seated immediately, which was frustrating. Similar experiences happened at other restaurants too. I won’t name specific places since not all employees were like that, but it happened enough times to leave a negative impression. I had high hopes for this trip, researching and booking everything carefully to enjoy it with my family. Instead, I felt guilty for bringing them along, as they also faced uncomfortable situations. Traveling should be enjoy their time here.

We loved everything about this resort except one thing, the cold pool. Very cold we couldnt even swim in the big one. The one in the front was a little warmer. They have a beautiful beach. Our room was clean and not outdated. The buffet is not super big but the food was actually good. We tried the Italian and Mexican restaurant and they were both excellent.

Beautiful resort with good food options throughout the day. Staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful. Steps away from the blue/turquoise beach makes a perfect getaway. Beach and pool volleyball hosted by the hotel staff was fun. Lines at restaurants were reasonable at opening time, much less a couple hours later. Although inside of the property is showing signs of age, it is well kept and very clean. We will consider coming back. Highly recommended resort for families.

Really nice beach. A lot of children and families and lots of fun. Could hear screaming in the hallways late at night or early in the morning often. Food was what you would expect from all inclusive hotels. Would recommend for sure but could see why its not for everyone!

This is a FAMILY resort. Perfect if you have young/small children! 4th time at this resort and I will be returning!! I love the staff and how friendly they are. But before booking, keep in mind it’s a family resort, there will be children everywhere!

The search is over - stay here!

First time staying at an all-inclusive and I believe Wyndham Alltra set the bar high! We were treated like royalty. The staff work hard to ensure rooms, restaurants, beaches, pools, etc are prestine! They were attentive to our every need and were eager to always make sure we had fresh towels, a drink in our hand, etc. I will mention - beware that you will be asked 10+ times a day if you want an expensive massage, even by the same person. I wish that instead they would let people approach them and request this service if they’d like :)

The location of this property is perfect. It’s about 10 minutes away from the mall and other nearby places. You have access to the beach and it is very clean places to stay. The cons are that there is not much to do at the resort there is no entertainment while you’re at the resort and the food is not very good. Also, the restaurants close pretty early . I wish this resort was more fun but there were no attractions on site . No crowd interactions . I’ve stayed in previous resorts where a lot of dancing and entertainment was encouraged pool side .
