We just returned from a week long stay at Mia Reef. It was absolutely fabulous! The location and beach were the best in the island. The staff was fantastic and took care of our every need. I will definitely be returning.

This place is beautiful. This is my fifth visit to this resort and island. The staff is unbelievably accommodating and make everything wonderful. I enjoy walking into town at night for great food. This resort used to be very adult but lately more families are staying. I am fine with that but the music entertainment has. become more loud espcially during the sunset time. I miss the peacefulness that was there before. This won't stop me from coming however; I would appreciate more serene times that used to be available during dinner and sunet. This is a wonderful place to visit!!!

The staff was pleasant although there was a language barrier. Property is in great need of updating especially the bathroom, extremely uncomfortable beds and the food was good but nothing special. Broken items lying about in out of the way places but still visible. The transportation that I booked through Expedia was a Scam. The shuttle no showed. When I called the toll free number it was for a Medical Device. Extremely disappointing and inconvenient.

Id stay away from mexico for now if youre from U.S. as soon ass they see you from America they automatically dont like you. The only good about this resort is water, we enjoyed swimming in nice clear water...

Excellent location on the ocean, the staff are very attentive. We originally were put in the wrong room and had to wait until the next day in order to get the room class that we had booked. While eavesdropping on other conversations we learned that many people had to switch rooms midstay. The resort itself is showing wear and tear. The sliding glass door to the balcony had a draft on the non-opening side. The walls were poorly patched where they had been previously damaged. The shower door had issues, and I became trapped in the shower when it was fully closed. There wasn't always hot water. One of the two elevators was non-working during the week that we were there. The beach with the palapas was littered with pieces of broken cement and other debris and should be raked. Despite all of this the MIA has the best view of anyplace in Mexico that I have stayed. Also, the staff is kind, generous, and hard working.

Very Beautiful property but somethings need to be reworked - Wifi is up and down a lot so streaming tv is not the best concept for wifi issues. AC had some issues with icing up. Food for the a la cartes need some work. The food is average. Everyone is very friendly, and service was good. All in all was a good hotel!

The hotel is old and the upkeep has not kept up with the aging. One of the 2 hotels was broke. The entry doors to the rooms are not sound proof and an abundant amount of light comes through at night when it’s shut. The good was good as well as the drinks but unless you are a mia reef member you are not allowed access to top shelf alcohol. The beach is very nice, but limited in size for seating. My biggest complaint would be the music. They play the same techno beat background music for hours at a time just repeating itself. It is also way too loud! The entertainers they had come in for the nightly shows were good, DJ’s were not!

Location amazing! Staff kind and helpful. Hotel itself very much in need of updates. We did not treat this stay as an All Inclusive based on other reviews we read. Therefore we knew we would be heading to town for lunch and dinner and that was exactly what we did. Overall a wonderful experience.

We stayed at the Mia in December 2024 on our first visit to Isla Mujeres. The property is in need of repairs which were ongoing during our visit with minimal inconvenience. The location and views are Absolutely Spectacular. The beach area is small but beautiful. Beach crew is very helpful with umbrellas for shade and the water is warm, beautiful sand, a bit of snorkelling. It can be quite windy. All rooms either look back toward town and Playa Norte (just across the bridge) or north which is great for watching waves. Food was excellent. It is nice to have access to town for walking, touring, shopping, entertainment. The area is very safe. If you are looking for a fancy place, look elsewhere. If you want amazing views, scenery and a beautiful beach, this is your spot! King's Pool was only open on non-windy days and we asked at reception for them to open the gate. Pool area has very few seating areas and it is near the venting for the toilets and can be unpleasant at times. This property is recovering from a recent hurricane but is still in a Beautiful Spot!! Staff were very helpful, friendly and genuine and they helped us have a great stay.
