They cut the water for two hours twice without notification The elevators were out of order, so we had to use the stairs to reach our room on the fourth floor. We had to complain to get another room on the second floor. The pool was closed on the last day for maintenance, and all visitors were required to use a very small pool.

The lack of information at the front desk. They left this to the representatives that are urged to sell you the time shares and are always on top of you only for that; otherwise they don't give the good treatment that every guest would deserve.

Wow we had such a great experience with the staff at this hotel! Gustavo our butler met our every needs, he went above and beyond. Erika and Yolanda the servers for the adult pool bar, fantastic! Belami the bartender at the pool bar he was amazing worked for hours nonstop. The only downside was that they were doing renovations in the Royal Tower which is where we booked our honeymoon suite, we were upgraded to the villas but im sure the honeymoon suite was better. The everyday buffet can offer better foods (ive been to many other hotels in Cancun and their food variety is a lot better). Other than that, my husband and I were really please would definitely consider becoming members!

The room we booked was unavailable due to construction. The swim up suite we were given instead was nice except the main pool which we had a view of was closed on day 2 of our stay. Leaving us with a view of an empty pool. The adult pool then became the pool for everyone. We should have been notified of this in advance. Very disappointed however the staff was great. The stand out employees were Edgar Garduza in Sole Cafe. He was amazing. He deserves a raise for sure. Also Jose Mercedes at the dinner buffet. He was great. Jessica our concierge was great as well, making sure we got our premier privileges including cabana reservations on the beach and at the pool. We dont know if we will come back to this resort but possibly to see the improvements from the renovation.

There was little to no activities/entertainment and no where for anyone to smoke yet they sell cigarettes and cigars. The food was not the best and there were roaches on the buffet the first night we went. Jessica was AMAZING and if it wasnt for her we would have been miserable. AC didn't work, couldn't offer a fan, door fell off refrigerator area and husband cut his foot on glass the first day in the swim up. The staff were great and prompt to assist. The place was every clean and housekeeping was amazing as well. The beach was beautiful!!!

The hotel and food is okay, please try the koi asian food its amazing and you wont regret it. The morning buffet is good with plenty of options. The lunch and dinner buffet are decent. The Prime restaurant is additional cost.. but cuts are tasty, bad thing its located inside the italian restaurant and they share same desserts and appetizers. The italian restaurant wasnt good. I would probably skip that next time. The Mexican restaurant didnt have any rsvp available, we stayed four nights and couldnt try it. Also you can only book rsvp 48 hrs in advance and the Mexican restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday. THE ELEVATOR DOESNT WORK AT ALL!! WE WERE AT 4 FLOOR.. AND THE LAST 2 DYS OUT OF OUR STAYED THE STAFF ELEVATOR STOPPED WORKING... ALSO STAFF ELEVATOR DOESNT HAVE A SENSOR TO DETECT HAND OR LEGS OR CLOTHING... SO YOU CANT HOLD THE ELEVATOR FOR ANYONE... PLEASE BE SAFE ON THAT. I DID TELL STAFF ABOUT THIS AND THEY DID NOTHING TO FIX THIS SAFETY HAZZARD. THEY LIFEGUARDS AT BEACH ARE DISTRACTED BY THEIR PHONES.. ALSO A PROBLEM SINCE CANCUN IS NOTORIOUS FOR BAD CURRENTS (RIP TIDES) IF YOU HAVE KIDS OR ARENT A STRONG SWIMMER THE LIFEGUARDS ARENT GOING TO HELP IF THEY ARE DISTRACTED. YOU CAN SEE VIDEOS OF HAZZARD ON YOUTUBE IN CASE YOU ARE CURIOUS.

Overall, stay was good! Im going to start with the good. The restaurants are pretty tasty. I definitely suggest trying the Koi the koi service and food was amazing.. the bad thing about the Koi is kids under 40 inches arent able to dine in restaurant... which is a total bummer for a family traveling with kids. They asked one parent to eat at buffet with other child (koi did allow the parent that stayed behind to order of their menu) but it defeats the purpose.. its a family vacation lol... instead of just having whole family eat at buffet with child and providing food.. they split up rsvp. I still would suggest for you to try koi because food is delicious. The morning buffet was pretty good also lots of great options and staff is amazing. The lunch and dinner buffet options are okay, for dinner they did have a mariachi band playing (obviously for tips) but they played well. The pools have plenty of seating outside and definitely shaded areas too.. the beach also has cabanas (for rent) and huts with seating that are free. The Prime restaurant is additional cost, the prime rib and new york are both great options and baked potatoes it was definitely great, the only thing about the Prime is that its located inside the italian restaurant, so they do same appetizers and dessert. The italian restaurant was decent less than average, honestly i would skip it next time im there.They have a snack station by the pool with basic meal options like hotdogs and hamburgers that was ok.

We have stayed in Mexico many times. This resort did not have a filtration system could not drink the water. Also you are required to wear long pants if you are male to visit all of the restaurants except buffet. Good food is half the fun in a vacation. We were unhappy with this because we do not bring long pants for my husband. We changed resorts and things were better
