From start to finish the staff at Excellence were there to assist us in anyway they could. We loved our swim up suite and the fact that we could have our drink order and food order brought right to our deck when sitting out by the pool. The room was always thoroughly cleaned and the minibar stocked daily with drinks and treats. It was nice to have the Aroma coffee shop, which also had premade sandwiches, fruit, fruit juices, yogurt parfaits, or delicious pastries if you missed breakfast. 24 hour room service, and the Oceanside/ poolside (any pool) snack and drink orders brought to your chair were amazing. The restaurants were very good which made it hard to decide where to eat. This resort is worth the price for a true all-inclusive getaway. Thanks Excellence for making this a memorable Christmas vacation for our family.

The food overall was great, especially Chez Isabel and Basmati restaurants. The fish dishes was hit or miss, but the filet mignon was always very good. The mushroom crepes at Chez Isabel are outstanding.

We booked the swim-up suites and they are a must. This is one of the nicest resorts I have stayed at in Cancun. Service was incredible and the food and amenities were great. ROOMS - Spacious and tidy - AC was great - the beds were comfortable and the bedding was also soft; we upgraded pillows to latex pillows with the pillow menu! - swim-up rooms are a must; we faced the main pool and it was close to the main plaza etc so it was loud at night during events but didn’t bother us. POOLS - pools were super clean ans there were so many options - only downside was only one pool was heated BEACH - gorgeous beach with umbrellas (hut things) and beds and we never had an issue getting beach loungers - beach was cleaned regularly - hammocks available AMENITIES AND RESTOS - restaurants were awesome! We loved Chez Isabelle and Spice, and of course Agave! - buffet was good too, the usual, but great variety. Only open for the breakfast, I think - gym was so good! It had a ton of equipment… even included a trap bar and a smith machine? - we loved bingo daily, coco loco, and played pickleball! All was included. - service was so great… we loved every minute. Thank you for making our vacation incredible.

Fantastic vacation spot. The best all inclusive hotel we have stayed at. The food was excellent - not just great for an all inclusive, but actually great. And the service is amazing everywhere. Good beach (not like Turks or Cayman but very nice), nicely designed pools. If you want an adults only resort that is very chill but isn’t all couples (we were parents and a 19 year old) this is an ideal spot.

Resort oriented towards frat partying boozers. Drinks aren’t great and are watered down. One good drink a day would have been nice. Room was a 1970 fantasy honeymoon suite. Room was moldy mildewy everything smells really bad that we had in the room. No privacy glass doors for toilet jetted tub in the center that is open. Disinterested disengaged staff not into guests. Not all but fair amount. Housekeeping staff was the nicest in our building.Very noisy drunk guests yelling screaming at 1:30am partying at the pools. Inconsistent food, French rest excellent skip the rest. Hallways and stairs no lighting dark dangerous in am. Loved beach grounds of resort and unlimited towels. Christmas buffet disappointing compared to other resorts. Resort overcapacity, unable to deal with the number of guests. Long lines sitting with strangers loud music so no conversation could take place. Definitely not a five star resort and most definitely not worth the price.

This experience was beyond incredible. Staff were kind, fun, professional and hardworking. The Excellence Riviera Cancun was a large beautifully kept property- with the blend of nature, the natural ecosystem, the entertainment and restaurants and food. I don't even drink alcohol, and beyond being curious as to why (asked one time), resort staff were amazingly respectful. Some drinks can be made into vigin mocktails, or they have non alcoholic options. I will miss this place and the people.

It’s a beautiful property , entertaining is amazing , most of the staff are really nice , front desk not very friendly and the guy that receive your car at the entrance had a really bad attitude!

Staff is amazing, the property is maintained impeccable, such a selection of food you never grow tired of. The only criticism I can make is the sports bar is in dire need of a makeover, it’s dark, dingy, with 4 massive pillars that impede your view of the only wide screen TV
