Unfortunate experience
The hotel is in a great location and all of the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately this is where it ends. The housekeeping department let the hotel down significantly. Within minutes of checking into our room I called reception as I wasn’t confident the shower had been cleaned. There was dust pushed up into the corners of the shower and shower tiles did not look clean. I had to call reception off my mobile as there were no numbers on the phone. We were moved into another room and provided drinks vouchers. Unfortunately the next rooms shower wasn’t much better. The shower head is very powerful and floods almost half of the bathroom. The sink leaks slightly underneath. On day 2 after being out our room key stopped working & reception had our room under someone else’s name but were able to fix this. When we returned it was obvious housekeeping has been as the beds were made but the toilet & carpet were not clean and our hand soap was missing. I had to call twice before housekeeping came and vacuumed. I asked again for soap. While they vacuumed my family and I waited in the hallway dripping wet having returned from the pool. There is no mention of the room window overlooking the restaurant so if you want natural light in your room you risk no privacy as patrons at the restaurant waved at my kids when I first opened the curtains. The air conditioning vent hasn’t been cleaned and month and it does not cool very well.
