We are four adults and one baby, arriving at Painter’s Lodge. It is a beautiful hotel—quiet and peaceful. I greatly appreciate the thoughtful layout of the property, and the ocean view is truly breathtaking. Our room is very spacious, well-appointed with a coffee maker, and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Although there is no air conditioning, the ceiling fan is sufficient, especially given our location right in front of the ocean. The reception staff are friendly and accommodating. There is ample parking available. The overall price is reasonable, making the stay even more enjoyable. Adding some soft background music in the reception area could enhance the welcoming atmosphere further. Aside from that, everything was perfect. Our stay was wonderful, and I would definitely return. Although the restaurant and bar are currently closed, there are several other dining options within a 5 to 8-minute drive. The room also includes a mini fridge, and toiletries such as shampoo, soap, conditioner, and lotion are provided, along with an iron—nothing more could be asked for. Overall, it was a very pleasant and accommodating experience. Thank you, Painter’s Lodge. We look forward to returning.

When I booked the two day stay, it was on the understanding there was a restaurant and bar. However, when I arrived, I found the restaurant and bar were no longer in operation, as under new management. Breakfast was in a brown paper bag, no coffee. I had no transportation so that was first chance to get food since arriving early the night before. Bath towel had holes in it. I do appreciate the owners refunded for the second night and understand from the reception that they had no way to notify booked guests the change in arrangements.

The property is beautiful and the price was good. The staff were quite friendly. The room was large and decently clean. The property, however, has fallen into disrepair such as ice makers don't work, gardens and lawns overgrown, broken tiles on the walks, and many other small but noticeable items. We hope the new management brings it back to its former glory.

We recently stayed at Painter’s Lodge in Campbell River for one night along with three other families, making it a group of four families in total, and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we checked in, the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The ambiance of the lodge was beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The kids really enjoyed themselves too, especially exploring the surroundings and spending time in the lovely lobby area, which was warm and inviting. Every family in our group was impressed with how well everything was maintained and how smoothly everything went. Thank you to the entire team at Painter’s Lodge for making our stay so enjoyable. We would definitely love to come back again!
