The Inn is a great option and not overly pricey. Most people will see the shared bathroom situation as a negative, but it's not a huge issue. There are about 17 rooms that share the two bathrooms. Each one has two private showers as well as two private bathroom stalls. I never had any issue getting into either one. They are clean enough. Don't let this one thing prevent you from staying here. Everything else is great. No parking assigned to the Inn, but street parking was not a major issue. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would stay there again if I made another trip to Napa.
Cottage was private so no shared bathroom. Parking was directly outside the room and the inn has a restaurant and brewery onsite. The food and beer were delicious. The staff at the desk both at check in and check out are friendly, the gal at check in even gave us a quick tour! The only negative was the noise from the street, they left earplugs by the nightstand!
Totally out of control of Management: noises of delivery & garbage trucks in the wee hours (4-5 AM). But we slept with the windows open because the outdoor temp was nicely chilly.
Had a late appetizer & beverages in the patio garden. We enjoyed the very singable music of the musician. 70s, 80s, 90s soft rock. Elton John to Donna Summers.
I had a lovely harvest stay. Got to taste wine at my favorite Keenan Winery nearby. The European style inn, WC down the hall, IS PERFECTLY nice AND ABOUT HALF THE PRICE OF ANY OTHER OPTION IN NAPA VALLEY. GREAT DEAL. LOVE THE EXCELLENT RESTAURANT WITH OUTSTANDING PATIO AND LIVE MUSIC DOWNSTAIRS. ALTHOUGH THE LODGE PROVIDED FREE EARPLUGS, IT WAS ABSOLUTELY SILENT AT NIGHT AND THEY WERE NOT NEEDED. No idea why this form just turned most of my review into all CAPS, but I can’t be bothered to rewrite it so please know I’m not yelling.
Wonderful front staff! Simple amenities but great for the price in Calistoga. parking not great but you can find it offstreet and walk a bit. Safe clean and sweet.
For the price, we didn’t mind sharing the bathrooms. They were very private and we had our own sink in our room. Requested a quiet room and was given one. Went down to the bar for Happy Hour then enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Calistoga Inn Restaurant. Enjoyed acoustical music after dinner sitting by the fire pit! Honestly very relaxing fun stay!
I was hesitant to book this spot due to the communal restrooms, but it wasn’t an issue at all! Never had to wait to use the restrooms and didn’t even see anyone else while I was there. Very convenient location and very walkable. The restaurant downstairs was great for breakfast, dinner and drinks. The bed was very comfortable and I would definitely stay again.
Very quaint, clean property. Perfectly located at the end of the Main Street of Calistoga. This property has a great indoor/outdoor restaurant serving great California cuisine.
The room was very nice. Simple and nicely maintained. Craftsman styled with a sink and mirror for basic necessities and a shared bathroom/shower for all 17 rooms. I did not see a single person during my 1 night stay and all rooms were taken. The facilities are very nice and clean.
Pricing is very fair for the time of year we stayed (Summer). As this is a property built in the late 1800’s the walls are very thin and you’ll know the management is aware of this as ear plugs are provided on the night stands in each room.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this property and stay here again.
This country inn is located above a very nice indoor and outdoor restaurant, which we enjoyed both days we were there. It is less than a 5 min walk to spas. Bed was too firm to my husband's liking. Nice linens. They do supply earplugs which helped with the morning commute. Street parking was safe. We felt safe walking day or evening. We would go back.
You do not get a bathroom nor tv in your room. It’s a shared bathroom. The toilet area don’t have locks on the doors. And the showers are shared. When you walk up the stairs you can here it creek the whole way up. In your room the floor creeks. Not worth the money staying here. Better off staying in Napa
