Comfortable hotel

Does exactly what it says on the tin - decent enough hotel for a quick overnight when travelling through Calgary. We didn't use the pool but it looked very pleasant, and the room was large and comfortable.

My hotel room had all the necessary amenities and was super comfortable and clean. The room had a slight musty odor upon entry (likely the carpet) but was clean, and cleaned daily. Note that they provide bar soap (no shower gel), and small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and even body lotion. I like that many hotels these day have moved to using refillable dispensers to cut down on having to provide multiple small bottles and the waste generated thereafter. Ramada should consider this sustainability practice. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and efficient. The hotel breakfast options were standard. The area includes many eateries for breakfast alternatives, along with other types of restaurants, all within walking distance. I would definitely stay at this property again.

The room was spacious and had everything we needed. (A fridge would have been nice although we did manage without) The outdoor pool is great if a little chilly and the hotel is convenient for the airport with public transport options. Not a great deal to do around about but some nice walking and cycling routes along the river.

Average hotel but good outdoor pool area

Stayed for quite a while so have a good idea of this hotel. It's an older building and style but has most of what you need. There are two elevators and no stairs to the lobby. It felt like I stopped at almost every floor most of the time with the elevators being quite packed. The outdoor pool is why I chose this place. Nice to sunbath on, water was way too cold to go in. There were many times when there were no outdoor towels. The gym was a decent size but again sometimes no towels. For cleaning, one time a wet rag was left in my room, and another all my dirty towels were left on my bed. They also missed replenishing my shampoo and toilet paper a couple times. Breakfast only starts at 7 which is late. It's nothing fancy and they usually don't even have orange or apple juice which is strange for an $18 breakfast. Finally my room card stopped working almost every day meaning I'd have to go down and up the elevator, hitting all floors, each time to get new cards. Was infuriating. They only offered to change my room near the end of my stay so it was useless.

The room was clean and standard. A good stay. They have laundry facilities which was great. The only odd thing, is the floor the gym and laundry were on was not well lit. It was not unsafe but made it feel as if it could be. Otherwise, all good!

It is just disappointing as I thought that the reservation already included breakfast but when it’s time for breakfast the hotel staff said that is is not included. Too expensive for the rate and yet we found out later on that the breakfast is not even included. I am always recommending Expedia to my friends because of my previous good experience but not now this time. Not happy.
