Thanks for having me and my family stay where for 4 nights, we had a great time. The pool was fantastic, although the hot tub didn’t seem to work properly - jets not working. Upon arriving the room we stayed in had dirty sheets and pillow sheets, bathroom not cleaned properly. I did go back down to the front desk to have it re-cleaned.. so while we waited we went for dinner and enjoy pasta buffet. Great service and food. Went back to the room and checked everything. All it seems they did was remake the bed and vacuumed. Still had dirty sheets and dirty bathroom, so I cleaned the bathroom myself.

I loved how close it was to the zoo and science center. My only real issue is the mini fridge didn't have a freezer so I could refreeze my ice packs for my food and for my son's insulin during the hot weather and hours of driving back home. Also the dresser drawer in the room was broken, but it really didn't affect our stay.

Overall very good experience. My only comment is that the pool required us to reserve time slots in the evening, which then forced us to plan around those time slots. We tried the restaurant downstairs, the food was average but they did have gluten free dinner options which I always appreciate.

We had our son’s birthday and the staff threw out part of his gift when cleaning the room. When we phoned to ask for it returned, they said we put it in the garbage. I told them the box was 4 feet long, it was on a chair and wouldn’t even fit in the garbage. They then changed the answer that the box was empty. I said no it wasn’t. Upon checking out they found the box and I said ya the pieces were in the box. They again went looking, waisted our time, which they could’ve went and looked like they said they would the night before. Was frustrating so we asked for them to contact us once pieces we found. Still haven’t heard back.

2nd floor room was very poorly maintained. Smells like smoking everywhere. Yes, was pointed out to me by staff that hotel was non-smoking, still didn’t change the cigarette smell. Thank you for the comment. Room also had a smell like long term tenants whom were not tidy lived in them or was a hockey bag room. Canadians will know what this means. Dated, poorly maintained. Better options around for similar price point.

We were very excited for our stay but was very underwhelmed when we arrived and later found out that it is not a very safe part of town as per the manager. Check in was easy and the manager helping us was very friendly. Our room was clean but very outdated and bed was slapped together ( bedding was not tucked in and looked sloppy) Very uncomfortable, lumpy pillows. It was nice to see that the cleaning staff were finishing cleaning the pool area as we were the first people to enter at 8am. The breakfast buffet was very good and priced very well at $42 for 2 adults and 2 children. Check out was fast and easy but staff didn’t really seem interested.
