The check in process was smooth. The young man that checked us in was very friendly. I just love the area. There were good places to eat and shop. It was also very quiet. The beach was not far away! I will definitely go again

needed a seating area in room. The couch/pull out bed was old and very very uncomfortable. did not like the sink being outside the bathroom.

We like the convenient location to the beach. The property has a water hose to rinse down after coming off the beach. The staff are nice, and helpful but this time the rooms were not cleaned properly, which prompted a visit to the local store for cleaning supplies. Last guest clothing, eye glasses and trash were found behind the night stand when we were plugging in phone charger. It is a affordable motel but clean is important to me, personally.

So fun!

My family had a great visit and stay at the hatteras island inn. Our room was a nice size and had everything we needed. The pool was open and the kids had a great time swimming. Just a small walk away from the beach as well. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in that area. Right next to a great pizza place too!

It was unstaffed There was no housekeeping during our stay. New towels were in a plle in the lobby. A look under the small refrigerator showed a major accumulation of dirt and dust. We would never again use and never never recommend this terrible place. I would suggest Expedia delete the posts

Great for a quiet weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Hatteras Island Inn! It’s a small, quiet hotel tucked away in Cape Hatteras, close to the beach, the lighthouses, and some great local restaurants. The room was very clean, and while the place does show a little bit of its age, it didn’t bother us at all. The mattress was on the firmer side, great for me, but not quite my husband’s favorite. He also would’ve liked a smart TV in the room, but those were pretty minor things. Overall, it was perfect for a peaceful weekend getaway, and the price felt fair for the area. We’d definitely stay again if the rates stay affordable!
