Pride of ownership shows. A great breakfast and cookies out in the evening. I would have given 5 stars if the check in process hadn't taken 35 minutes. Despite ringing bell and using the counter phone; I had to go exploring to find the one employee on duty. After receiving our electronic keys, we discovered they did not work in the external entrance doors, where our luggage and dog were stacked. Back to reception for new electronic cards, then those cards had a unique glitch to them to try to enter the hotel room. Back to reception again, and the one employee opened our room door. It was just too much bother after a thousand mile trip and tracking a dog and suitcases.

Overall the stay was ok. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Negatives: - people smoking weed in their rooms - there was no transition between the tile and carpet in the room It was fine for a one night stay.

The breakfast was the best one we'd eaten in our week-long honeymoon, and we stayed at some other very expensive places. And for booking last minute and arriving pretty late, the staff (she was pretty amazing) had everything ready when we walked in at 10:30 pm. With that being said, our room felt damp and smelled mildewy. That is something the owners need to check up on.

Def staying there again!
Good digs good staff & great if you’ve got dogs (that’s what drove our decision). There’s a big field by the rooms where I played frisbee w the pup every morning. It’s a well-maintained budget hotel with a big breakfast buffet - we stayed a week & were always pretty pumped for breakfast, they offered a greater range of options than any hotel we’ve stayed at before, and that kept each of us happy. And despite the hotel being packed w guests attending a convention or construction project (who knows, but seemed like they were at capacity!) it was peaceful and quiet. Definitely staying again next trip to visit family in that area! Big thank you to the staff, there was always someone available if you needed anything.
