Rude
Jody at the front desk was rude and unaccommodating. I had called and my room, was clean and ready the night before, so I went to check in around 1 PM. I was told upon arriving that check-in would not happen until 3 PM but if I gave them 20 to 30 minutes that they would see what they could do to let me check in. I returned about 40 minutes later and was told it’s not gonna happen it’s gonna be 3 PM that I have to wait till. So I escalated it to the general manager, Derek I believe was his name. He also seemed upset and was unaccommodating. He looked up my. room and saw that it was clean, but said that it needed to be inspected first, and that could take some time. Instead of having my room inspected as I waited, they did not call me until 3 PM on the dot. I understand the reasoning because they have internal staff problems and can’t get all the rooms clean but you know my room was clean for over 24 hours and then not let me check in I found to be rude unaccommodating and BS. Obviously customer service is not top on their priority list! I had offered to pay extra money and they told me it was not necessary that if my room was clean that they would let me check in no extra fee. They just needed to send an inspector to my room… Come on the hotel is not that big in fact, the manager or general manager could’ve taken it upon himself to inspect my room and let me check in. Oh, and the boat ramp closes In the evening at some time and doesn’t reopen until 7:30 in the morning…
