Difficult if you don't have own transport to get around. We had to uber to niagara falls. To get to buffalo we had to take a bus which was confusing if you don't know the area. But saying that the hotel is a magnificent building to explore with a museum in the basement and we got a complimentary breakfast.

Fascinating Historical Building
Beautifully restored building with lots of history. We stayed 2 nights and walked the grounds, went to the museum and learned the history of the building. Very friendly staff, as well as good food and wine at the bar. It’s also about 30 minutes to Niagara Falls.

This property is a historic masterpiece that has been thoughtfully and skillfully renovated and the public spaces and the rooms are gorgeous. The rooms have 16’ ceilings and 12’ high windows. The bathrooms are beautiful and modern. And it’s a 25 minute drive to Niagara Falls. We spent our wedding anniversary there, and I would highly recommend this hotel for a special celebration.

Beautiful property, large spacious yard with tables and benches to relax by the large trees. My son’s reaction was there is no way we are staying here, it’s a castle! Great service from the friendly staff. Beautiful artwork throughout the massive hallways and rooms. Nestled right beside the state university and in walking distance. Breakfast has egg frittatas, pancakes , cereals, bread/ bagels, yogurt, fresh juice and fruit. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back one day.
