It is a cute and quaint old place. It has enough updates to function well. Turquoise mini fridge. Micro wave. Kurig coffee maker. The problem is the lack of an eye for detail in the cleaning crew. Some with such an eye needs to check the rooms for issues before renting it out. Sink and Toilet were not clean...hardened tooth paste and other spots that took some elbow grease to remove. Black/brown spots in toilet bowl and no toilet paper one the roller or off. The remote for the heater was no where to be found...and it gets cold at night now in the mountains. A room checker with a check list is a must for this place. The price was right...but it still should have been cleaned and stocked correctly.

Quiet, clean, not great area for walking dog: walked in neighborhoods behind hotel, couldn't get TV to work and not sure why: have had that issue in Salida at other hotels. Cute retro hotel. No breakfast served.

this motel is old and not well maintained. my shower cold water knob was stripped. i complained to mgmt and he said he forgot to repair shower and told me to tilt knob and water would flow. they were out of tp, i had to go office and get a roll. hot was great. the bed was comfortable

This place is the definition of a “no frills” motel. It’s a bed and a roof over your head. Staff was friendly. Hot tub was nasty. Price was right unlike Browns Canyon Inn across the street who jacks their prices by the minute later in the day. You make the call.

Decent price. Bathroom hadnt been cleaned, but we did reservations online same day, hours before arrival. 3.5 stars. Front desk person was absent. But a lady checked us in anyway. She was polite, kind, and thoughtful. Grateful for a place to stay at a decent price.

This motel is truly a dive. There were bugs crawling on the furniture and there was mold in the bathroom. The floor was dirty enough to make my white socks brown. My neighbor had to ask me to borrow toilet paper at 7:30 am because there was nobody at the front desk.

It's a budget motel -- they've refreshed it to make it a bit more attractive in a retro way, which is kind of nice, but rooms are small and often have issues. Walked in and TV was broken and then tried to switch on the bedside lamp and it wasn't working as well. Room had a mini-split but it didn't seem to achieve much while the AC in the bathroom window did the job. So small it was hard to find room to fit my bike, and the one chair in the room looked retro and cool but wasn't comfortable. However, bed was fine and the room was clean. Shower and bathroom were fine if not great. Saw a Tesla charging at their "gas pumps", which was cool.
