The Hoxton is GORGEOUS! The rooms were so very cool, very art deco. Service was fantastic. The restaurant was delicious. They make their own hot sauce and I wanted to buy it by the case. The only concern I have is that the location is just outside Brussell’s red light district. It is a short walk from the train station to the hotel, but you have to walk through a pretty scary neighborhood to get there.
We stayed at this hotel during a recent trip to Brussels. We picked it because it was close to the things that we were planning to do. It ended up being a little further away than we had anticipated, but still a walkable distance from the medieval city center and the entertainment district. The hotel is beautiful and situated right next to the city botanical Gardens. It is safe and the staff was so kind and welcoming to us. We had wonderful amenities. This hotel State was halfway through our two week trip and so we enjoyed having a nice restaurant and Access to services and concierge. We would definitely stay at another Hoxton property.
Th hotel was very convenient to all activities we had booked. It was 10-12 minutes walking distance to the meeting points. Great staff. Clean facility and felt very safe.
My partner and I have stayed at many many Hoxtons throughout Europe. It is always our preference given the Hoxtons are always situated in the perfect location. However in this instance it is not. This Hoxton is located with the red light district of Brussels, Schaerbeek. Please be warned it is not safe! Muggings and harassment are at an all time high. My partner and I were harassed and almost mugged on entry to the hotel, as in right outside, and when reported to the hotel they were un-phased.
Please do not use Brussels Noord station as that is also in the heart of a very dangerous area.
Our advise would be to stay somewhere more central, Ixelles is a safe bet or European quarter.
If you do decide to stay my only advice would be to avoid travelling to and from by foot when it is dark, so from 5pm onwards.
Loved all of it. The decor is amazing, the service friendly and professional, the room had amazing views of the city and super comfy bed. Went a couple of times to the rooftop bar for drinks. All absolute top; I just wished there was a bit more breakfast options such as cheese meats and breads.
Thanks for your great hospitality! Nice furnished rooms, very comfortable beds, great amenities and especially best hotel staff ever! We really enjoyed our stay in your lovely and very fancy hotel. We will definitely come back soon! We had such a lovely time. Your hospitality was above and beyond!
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff were attentive and friendly. There is a fun vibe in the hotel. The decor was funky in a good way.
The only negatives were the surrounding area and the parking. There wasn't anything in the way of food nearby but the downtown area wasn't too far. The parking was a little strange, detached from the hotel and hard to navigate. If driving, I would highly recommend a Fiat et al. The parking garage was super tight.
All that aside, I would gladly return. Very nice place to stay.
The hotel has a nice retro style/vibe and the staff was helpful. As a single female traveler, I had concerns walking through dark streets and park to get to the hotel. A 20 min walk to the Central train station.
The hotel is new, with a nice bar and coffee shop. The Peruvian resto on the premises is really good. Staff super kind and helpful. All speak French and English.
The only minuses: the rooms package don’t come with breakfast included and it doesn’t have a gym. The rooms are very quiet. No noise heard at all. The rest is fine. I gave four stars.
