This quirky, small hotel is unique in terms of atmosphere, and decorations. The hotel overwhelms the visitor with vibrant colors, artwork and statues (similar to John Sloane's famous house in London). The owner - Ben, is from Morocco and is super friendly. The staff is helpful. There is a 'secret' garden that is a full delight. There is also the resident cat- Kiki, who wanders around to greet the guests. Finally, the location is superb- just a few steps away from the Grand Place. The only drawback is its size, for travellers with large suitcases maybe a problem
Chose for unique design and central location in town. Location was perfect. Room was not what we expected based off pictures. There were 3 beds in a small room ‘downstairs’ from where you entered the room - we were expecting a loft with a little more space. Our room was challenging to find with poor signage. Elevator access, but not to the 1/2 floor we were staying on. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend.
Worst experience ever. As a solo traveler I know now to always read reviews!
Owner/manager, not sure which he is was “selling” his hotel the minute I walked in despite having a reservation already. Telling me how all the famous people come there.
I get to my room and it was dark, cold and the blankets smelled awful. I can tell they haven’t been washed in some time. The heat was coming on. It was very cold in the room. I had someone come up and look at it and he literally just looked at it and said give it more time. It had already been on for almost 30 minutes. I asked how to get the TV to work and he said it didn’t. The floor is tile and when you walk you feel the dips in it.
I decided to leave and booked another 5 star hotel 2 blocks down. I walked out without saying anything as the manager guy made me really uncomfortable when I checked in. He asked why I was taking my backpack. I said I didn’t go anywhere without it. He literally tried taking it off my back and kept saying he would keep it for me.
Had I needed up having to stay this is not a hotel I felt comfortable changing in my room. It was a physical key to access the room and didn’t block from the inside.
Read some of the other reviews and you’ll understand why no one should stay here! I was fortunate to not have the bed bug issue, although had I stayed longer, who knows!
This hotel is super chic and cozy. I loved the decor and how it’s not designed like the traditional cookie-cutter apartments. Each room has its own charm it’s located walking distance to grand palace, shops, bars and restaurants in the heart of the city and an easy walk to the train station.
Beautifully quirky. Well-sized rooms with large bathrooms. There was no functioning television, but there was internet. The breakfast was marvelous: fresh baked breads and fresh jams.
The staff was very helpful and kind. Rooms are ok, but a little cluttered.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The staff was very friendly.
It was clean and warm, after putting on the heater.
The bed was not so comfortable, and made o lot of noice.
The breakfast was ok.
It was a very charming hotel!
This hotel is a little gem in a fantastic location.
Very clean with flamboyant Middle East decor.
Would definitely recommend this place with its friendly staff.
This is a very interesting place: old hotel but very beautiful with an oriental look that makes you feel inside a museum. The hotel is small but worth exploring; it's like walking inside a piece of art. It is conveniently located between the central train station and the main square, so you are in the middle of the action. The breakfast was included and good. The hotel is a great value if you are not too picky (my room was small and old). Only one issue: walls are thin and I could hear snoring and talking from the adjacent rooms. I strongly recommend earplugs. Other than that, it was worth the stay!
