Great location but room needs TLC
Perfect location near the Central Station and the Market square. Beds were very basic, curtain was missing and location was noisy. Breakfast was fine and staff friendly.
The Hotel is really unusual in decoration and general atmosphere. It is in the middle of shops and bars right in the historic centre and we loved how easy it was to wander around the central sights. Our room was fine, comfy but a bit basic. Breakfast is similar, fine but a bit basic. We managed very well though and everyone was friendly. Definitely good value for money though compared to other central hotels.

I arrived at 11:30am to check in. The white haired man at reception said my room would be on the third floor but that it was too early to check in at the moment as check in time was at 2:30pm so he asked me to return around 2pm. I went back 2pm and the black gentleman at reception gave me room 121 on the first floor, it was the size of a Cracker Jack box, definitely not the 215 sq ft room I was told I would get when I booked the room but I was too exhausted to go to reception and argue.
The breakfast was simple; two pieces of bread, two slices of cheese, jam, orange juice pre set at the table and supposedly coffee or tea which I wasn’t offered

Eccentric decor that works. Beautiful piano playing. Position could not be better.
The worst hotel I have never been to. I suspect the positive reviews are fake or from family and friends! I left after just one night and had to book another hotel in Brussels Midi for the remaining of my stay in Brussels. It was horrible right from the first moment I got in the reception where a gentleman and a young girl was sitting. I stood there for at least 3 minute greeting them first and waving as to make them notice my presence. Turns out the man was sleeping, but the girl saw and heard me, but she didn't even bother to greet me back. She was on her phone or laptop. She was completely indifferent. I leaned forward to check on the man and shouted a "hello" that woke him up. He proceeded to apologize to me and scold the girl. He took my ID and payment and gave me my room's key. I tried opening my room, it won't. Wrong key or something with the lock. I went back to the reception and they gave me another room. Big surprise. The room was filthy. It smelled bad. I couldn't breathe. Another room change. I told myself the third time I might be lucky but nope. The third room was an improvement in size and lightning, but I noticed that the smell and the air weren't fresh either. I couldn't bear the smell. During that night, I was awake at 4:00am with some noise. It was as if people were moving heavy things on the stairs, going up and down. The noise lasted until 5:00am. Not enough space to write everything, including how they don't support cancellation or refunds.
This was my second time staying here and I had no issues. My room was clean.and there were no bugs in my bed or room. It is close to everything eithin walking distance within central Brussels which is the main appeal to this hotel for me. I am still impressed with everthing Moroccan even though this was my second time staying there. The satff were friendly as well as the owner Ben. The only thing I wish they would change is how they do breakfast. I would rather have my food sitting out waiting for me while other diners are moving around the dining room.
