Not what we'd expected
We've stayed here four previous times and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time was disappointing. Our main concern and surprise was the bathroom. There were fresh, folded towels, but the toilet seat was up, there was a crumpled piece of paper in the bowl, and when the seat was put down, there was a human hair on it. There were a few spots of dried mud/dirt on the shower floor, and the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. It was definitely not what we'd experienced in our other stays.

I rated average for cleanliness. I didn't see dirt or evidence of the room not being properly cleaned. I did, however, see a roach running around near the microwave along with another bug. I know roaches are common in warm climates, but it still creeped me out.

Unfortunately the elevators went down. One did get repaired by morning. Services were limited due to the Hurrican but the room floor was so dirty you stuck to it. No excuse for that! Only one dim night stand light working. Room was dark. Air conditioner worked very well. Despite the criticism, grateful for a place to stay during our power outage.

We always stay here whenever we pass through from VA. to Florida. We make the same request every time and it's just a minor request, but this time the guy at the front desk said we just can't honor any requests when we are this busy. Not a great way to handle a simple request for a floor. Staff generally is terrific and we understand being busy, but don't be dismissive for repeat guests.

The area was clean and quiet, the parking was easy accessible, we parked on the back and the lot was big and spacious not cramped, and it was well lighted in the parking lot.

I was charged an outrageous smoking fee and I DON’T SMOKE! I called the hotel and the manager refused to even speak to me. She stood in the background telling her employee I just needed to dispute the charge. They should have taken my call and refunded an inaccurate charge!!

Ok. Sounds good, right? BUT.. the AC system must be fixed! Freezing at 72 degrees, tried to raise to 76. Automatically kicks over to heat and went to over 80! Apparently we weren’t the only ones experiencing this issue.

How is everything?
The title is a question because the staff is looking for feedback and how to make your stay better. Multiple times and multiple staff asked. Attention to service and the facilities was constant, but not too much. They cared about your experience Good price and pet friendly. Breakfast varied daily and better than just cereal and muffins. Housekeeping daily asked what we needed. Reception resolved a checkin issue by upgrade at no cost. Ladback but attentive sums it up. A chance for us to relax. We were there for multiple nights and will stay there next time in town.
