Lovely hotel, excellent staff - silly charges.
Wonderful hotel, city centre location, excellent staff, lovely well appointed room. It is a particular bugbear that when you stay in a hotel with facilities, you are charged to use them. We booked a massage, we had to pay not just for the massage, but to use the 'spa' - a sauna and steam room. I understand paying if you are not a guest of the hotel - but as a guest, it annoys me and frankly I don't return to any hotel which applies this policy.

Right in the center of the action. Breakfast buffet was mediocre. Cheese was lying out for hours and dry, orange juice from a box, terrible scrambled eggs probably for a ready-made mix. Fortunately it was included. Rooms were large and modern. Dirt on molding around shower door.

My partner and I had a great stay at Dukes palace! Room was clean, staff were helpful and the location is perfect. The ‘Spa Room’ however cost 20€pp, and there was actually no Spa. There also was no water tap or any skin care products like they were advertised. A better explanation around what was included would have been good (:

The hotel was lovely located just off the market square. The staff were very attentive good old fashioned service (apart from the bar staff you could die of thirst haha)but that was the only issue and not a major one. the breakfast was great a nice selection. The rooms were very comfortable as were the beds and bedding. Would definitely be happy to stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting a city break in Bruges

We had a wonderful stay at Duke’s Palace. The staff was helpful and courteous. We were checked in very quickly, and our room was clean and comfortable. We were close to all the shopping and wonderful restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wouldn’t say 5* poor service when checking in room not ready. Noisy room and mentioned to reception and they basically shrugged. Room only set up for one, one chocolate left, toiletries for one. Upgraded another couple while we were still waiting for our room.
