Loved the Clayton Hotel
Great stay at the Clayton Hotel in Bristol. The hotel is very central with harbour side about 10 min walk away. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Hotel has a lovely lobby area and staff were very professional . The room was very spacious with good amenities and a very comfortable bed. First time staying with this brand hotel and would definitely stay again.

Really lovely hotel at an affordable price. Staff were great and changed my room as the first one I checked into had only an internal window overlooking the lobby (make sure to request a room overlooking the courtyard, these have windows that open to the outside!) Perfect for a short stay and in a great location. Would recommend for solo female travellers.

Lovely room, although the bath I requested was a shower. Cost of a burger is too high @£19.00 via room service and the tray charge of £5.00 is steep. The burger was rather small but tasted nice. The chips were nearly cold. Breakfast was good with a few issues; the tables weren’t very clean and my condiment tray had the salt missing and was dirty from the previous guest. I pulled out 4 cups in a row for a coffee and all were dirty. I gave feedback to the restaurant team and reception on checking out that the water having grapefruit in it should be noted as some people cannot have grapefruit when taking certain medications or if they’re having chemo (personal experience). The label said “contains no allergens.” I took a photo but it won’t upload. When checking out I wasn’t asked about my stay and the receptionist didn’t seem interested in my feedback about the grapefruit. The last time I stayed with friends at this hotel, the rooms were pleasant but the afternoon tea was shockingly bad - we still talk about it. Kind Regards Lisa

We stayed for a few days. The used glasses in the room were not replaced, neither were the refreshments. We prepaid for cocktails and a late checkout. When ordering our drinks we had to go back to Reception for them to confirm we had prepaid. When returning to our room on our last day we were locked out so we had to go back to Reception and wait to get it sorted and the Receptionist didn’t even acknowledge or apologise for the inconvenience. If they had this would have resolved it for us. We have stayed at the Clayton chain before, not impressed on this occasion.

Clayton Hotel is central to everything. Loads of great restauraunts in the surrounding streets and another selection of restaurants 4mins walk away in Harbourside area. Bristol Airport bus drops you off 4mins walk from hotel and costs £9 oneway or £15 return. Breakfast room was lovely, all tables nicely spaced appart. Good choice of items available and eggs can be cooked to order. All staff in the hotel were super friendly and helpful.
