I am tremendously disappointed with this property and Expedia. I booked four nights with Chermside Apts 22 Thomas St Chermside. The nights were split. Always wanting to try and work out a resolution before leaving any negative comments I am not one to immediately jump on and post as things do go wrong.I have come to the conclusion this property does not deserve a second chance.Avoid at all costs as the disdain that is shown towards customers is this is not a place that is interested in customer satisfaction.Just a grab and go establishment.Grab the customers money and bye.The room was a health hazard,bathroom full of mould,this is no accident.Mould on the ceiling and bathroom tiles and a significant amount that covered most of the ceiling. There is no sorry,no resolution from Expedia or Chermside Apts,each blames the other.Apt says third party bookings must be resolved by the 3rd party which is Expedia and Expedia says they need approval from the hotel for a refund and the hotel WILL NOT approve a refund.So a merry go around.The receptionist staff were pleasant and from their response when reporting the issue,the lady didnt seem the least bit surprised so I can assume this organisations standards for cleanliness is very low.I genuinely dont like to leave poor reviews but feel others should be warned so they can spend their money somewhere else where they will enjoy a clean room and some sort of service.You wont get it here.

The room had everything we needed, the bathroom was quite nice with a good size shower for the size of the room. The only let downs were that there didn't seem to be a way to get the TV's chromecast function to work. It appeared as though the balcony hadn't been swept or mopped recently and unfortunately in the early hours of the morning, intermittently erratic blinking of the lights on the smoke detector stopped me from getting back to sleep. (In fairness, this could have been from moisture in the air as I had turned the AC off during the night). Really these things were minor inconveniences though, that were more than made up for, by the points that I listed at the start and by the helpful, courteous and friendly nature of the staff. All in all I'd recommend the Chermside Apartments to anyone needing to stay In Chermside at a budget friendly price and good value for money. It's also situated conveniently close to major, local amenities.

This place didn’t feel clean. The wash basin in the bathroom was filthy. It gets blocked up and slowly draining out water, and when it’s finally drained it leaves yucky stuff and black stuff comes up and rest in the basin. The soap dispensers both in the shower and the was room were empty. The carpet in the bedrooms were mouldy. The aircon didn’t work. It was a very unpleasant stay. It’s in a handy location to everything which is nice. The free breakfast as advertised is a grab and go. Which is sort of ok, you get a small muffin a muesli bar a fruit and a small fruit juice. The receptionist is lovely. They do not have a gym onsite as advertised. They will just reimburse you if you go to a gym around the area. It’s more like backpacker accommodation for a hotel price.

Cleanliness let this hotel down.
Great hotel, close to shops and other attractions. The size of apartment was great it was just very dirty, the fridge had liquid in the bottom, the freezer too. Dishes that were pulled from cupboard had oil and food over them. And the floors were not clean.

The apartment was very spacious and fully self contained. Comfortable beds. Buses and taxis and shopping centre are on the doorstep. Our event was at Bernie Brae which is an easy 6 min. walk. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the breakfast advertisement is misleading, better take your own and be prepared. There is a disabled bathroom near the pool if a shower over bath is an issue. We had a wonderful time. Thanks to the staff for being so patient and accommodating. See you again!

The pool was not heated as stated (early Sept). Lounge chairs at the pool are all rusted and dangerous. The shower head in our room was not working properly. The couch was torn and no support. A light globe was blown in the bathroom. General tiredness of rooms (marks on walls, cracks in tiles). Breakfast provided was small supermarket muffins, juice box and muesli bars. No gluten-free or dairy-free options. No Foxtel as stated. The bed was comfortable and rooms were quiet.

Let's start with what we liked... The staff are nice Dislike.. We ordered a premium queen room. What we got were 2 single beds stuck together. No bedhead (nithing like the puctures) the mattress were very uncomfortable as you can feel the springs on your back. The side of the mattress has caved in.. Spoke to reception they sent us to 2 other rooms (Also they didnt know their bed figurations. They needed house keeping to tell them). we finally got placed in a stabdard queen room with no lights as we had 2 walls in front off our window. We questioned front desk about our request was for a premium queen roon and she told us this is all they had which is a standard room. By this time we felt nothing else could go wrong until you walk into the shower. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned for grout mould in months. Otherwise tge bathroom was ok.. The pool area.. Firstly its not heated (its advertised as a heated pool) the lounge chairs are broken and rusted legs. If you had children with no shoes and they stepped on some rust pieces it would not end well.. Finally I never read anywhere on Wotif (I may have missed it) that our room was not going to be serviced at all during our stay... For the price we paid we could have stayed in a hotel and had better service. Also even though I requested extra pillows and towels on our booking we didnt recieved them until I had to ask on day 2. Lets just say We will never stay here again or tell anyone else to stay here.. No upgraded just downgraded

We booked here for an overnight stay. Airconditioning didnt work so we were given another room. It wasn’t made up and there being no staff we scrounged around the complex and got 3 sheets 2 for bed and one for the pillows. Then we found only bath mats and had to use them as towels. The water flow was a dribble. Staff were apologic but we never received a refund. Not good enough.

Great place for families that need 2-3 bedrooms. Need spray and wipe or similar cleaner provided in the kitchen as nothing to clean down surfaces which is contradictory to providing dishwashing tabs etc. In a 3 bedroom it was difficult with only 2 tiny couches and 6 people. Really needs another. Massive party held downstairs with thumping music till about 10.15pm that went for hours on end but there must have been a complaint as it suddenly stopped.
