Only 3 of the 8 staff I interacted with during our stay were friendly, the rest were either dismissive or downright rude. When we got to our room it smelled of cigarettes and when we called reception asking to be moved they said they could only send housekeeping to freshen the room. Freshening the room meant spraying no vac on the carpet so the room then smelled of cigarettes and no vac. Would have thought a four star hotel would have the mini bar stocked and slippers and robes rather than other people's hairs on the towels.

The hotel is right across the street from the botanical gardens, which are gorgeous. The 5 bridges are walkable from the gardens, and are a must see! Staff was very professional and courteous.

I liked the fact that it was quiet and in a good location near the river. The air conditioning in the room and reception area was excellent although there didn't seem to be any in the rest of the hotel ( lift, corridors etc)

Enjoyable Overnight Stay

Convenient location with easy parking, spacious room with a lovely view of the City Botanic Garden & comfy bed. We also enjoyed our dinner & breakfast at the restaurant. Helpful & friendly staff, we will stay there again.
