Staff checked day before to see approximate arrival time and said they would do their best to have the room ready (no guarantees). When I arrived around lunch time the room was ready which took a lot of pressure off visiting my husband in hospital. Quick check in and great room.

The only good part of this property was the lady at front desk upon arrival. The room was very dated and the bathroom even more dated, the grout and silicone were growing mold and were generally gross. There was several warnings about fines for setting off smoke alarms which lead to me having a lukewarm shower in great fear, which turned out to have terrible water flow anyway as the shower head was ancient and full of calcification etc. This lovely experience was topped off when the air-conditioning turned itself off and showed an error code, when I phoned reception I was told that this is how they work and are set to 24° no matter what you do on the control panel. While I don't believe this was the case due to it showing an error code and never coming back on! This also seems like (is) a terrible idea in a hotel that caters mostly to people attending a hospital. Many of these people will need different temperature levels for different reasons! I did report this on check out, to which the response was "oh thats no good, Ill get maintenance to look at it". While this is a good idea, It doesn't really do anything about my terrible stay. Would never stay here again, definitely would not recommend to anyone!

Communication facilities were extremely poor, as a foreigner who was transiting in Brisbane for a night with no SIM card, there was no phone available at the lobby to call a taxi for early morning departure to the airport the next day. Thanks to the advice of another guest who made time to assist me, I had to walk 5 mins at 530am in the dark to get to a hospital where there were taxis. The lady at reception did not even bother to give the advice when I told her about my situation the day befores Also Upon check in at 1130am there was no WiFi connection even at the lobby area until I was able to access my room after 2pm. Very inconvenient especially for a person coming outside of Australia…and no flexibility and consideration. I wouldn’t recommend this place!
