This property and the surroundings are not what is advertised. Carpet throughout the hallways are very old. The floors feel like you could fall through them at anytime. Old smell. The surrounding area is sketchy.

We chose a sea view room and a large balcony, in the daytime on the balcony in the sun, watching the sea view, listening to music, simply too cozy. The hotel is elegant in all its amenities and is still very well maintained despite the years. Every employee was courteous. We will prefer this hotel next time.

Friendly staff and a classic old building. Stunning interior although a bit tired in places away from public areas (renovation planned soon). Ideal for the sea front (especially Brighton Centre next door but immediate area a little daunting after dark.

Really enjoyed the piano player on Sunday and sipping cocktails in the lounge/bar area. Perfect way to pass the evening. Thought the room would be bigger (from pictures it makes it look that way) but it was still nice and had lovely amenities. Not such a fan of being able to hear the people next door talking - would be good if they had better soundproofing - but I'd still visit again.

Had a room with partial sea view was very relaxing . I arrived at 4 however my room was not ready so I was offered a complimentary drink at the bar which was nice . Very old school hotel which is lovely staff are amazing and I will definitely stay again .
