THIS PLACE IS A GEM!! Don't let the dated exterior worry you; this hotel is immaculately clean and lovingly cared for. I confess that when we first pulled up I wondered for a moment what we'd gotten ourselves into, but from the moment we walked in to the lobby we were treated warmly and kindly, with a cheerful fireplace, treats on the counter, and a receptionist who was as thorough in her job as she was thoughtful and sweet. When we first opened the door to our room, my jaw dropped with amazement. The wide angle view of the water from our room was absolutely stunning, like straight out of a painting. I wish we'd had more time to enjoy watching boats from the beautiful balcony. The room itself was like stepping into my beloved grandmother's home; every detail was so comfortable and thought out. The bed and pillows were the perfect level of softness, the shower was hot, the air thermostat worked well and was easy to adjust, and provides just the. We had flown in from out of state for just one day to work on a rental property, a stressful reason to travel to such a beautiful location, we were exhausted when we arrived and wound up going to sleep for the night at about 5:30pm. The thermostat fan was the perfect level of white noise. Breakfast was ready in the lobby at 6 and offered a perfect variety of options (HB eggs, cereal, oatmeal, tea, juice, fresh fruit). Our morning work went long and they graciously allowed us a late checkout so we could shower. What a perfect stay.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The staff are amazing, and the view to die for. I stayed here Christmas Eve and woke up in the morning to a small gift from the hotel, and that was the best way I could think of to start my day! The decor may be a little dated, but it was a comfortable and welcoming experience

View from the balcony, quiet hotel

I had such a fantastic day at the hotel! The view was amazing which I did not expect front desk service was on it and breakfast was good! The room was very clean and the hotel was quiet!! I definitely will stay again when I return!!

Wonderful

This place is wonderful. Great service, clean, quiet (except for the road noise which they can't help). But the views make you think you are off on a vacation in the north woods and so nice we did not close the curtains for the entire visit. Furnishing are nice, very well kept, and style will remind you of classy 60's, even down to a telephone in the bath room.

Pool was full of leaves so didn't use it for 3 days we were there. That's the only complaint. Very nice breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff. Good location on area... Would definitely recommend it.
