It was Christmas in Boston and everything was decorated soo nicely - very enchanting - had a small balcony that had views of Fanueil Hall Market Place and carolers there singing - was like a hallmark movie ! Highly reccomend this beautiful spot !

Franz the manager was brilliant and so helpful. The Bostonian is a charming old hotel but in need of some TLC. Franz certainly made up for any physical shortcomings.

Nope, never again.
Front desk person was clueless, truly needs much more training, a coworker at her side, or another job. Was completely unable to find booked reservations for two separate couples upon check in. Took 15+mins each of providing her with name, confirmation number, room number via online check in.. and all other details each time she repeatedly asked. First with the couple infront of us, then 15+ mins with us as she mumbled saying doesnt have reservation, gave it to someone with similar name, ramdom mumbling. Eventually, after 15 minites found the room key set up next to her hand. Clueless is all i can say. Part of this was witnessed by their colleague who stopped at desk for 5 minutes. Rooms with balconies have ripped hanging or completely broken awnings hanging in front of windows. Rooms did not seem clean. Bed was comfortable, and gentlemen who store luggage for you were the best. Thats it, everything else was very far below sub par...

The Bostonian is great for location. Close to all shopping, historical sites and activities. However, the hotel is in need of repairs… our two bathroom doors were broke in our room. There was no dresser to put clothes in. They need a good sprucing up. But the staff was always helpful and professional.

Unfortunately the restaurant had heating issues which caused us to have to walk about 10 minutes in 10 degree weather to a restaurant for breakfast. Not an issue for most but if you have issues walking in normal conditions it becomes an issue under these circumstances.
