We were in Boston to attend a graduation at MIT with visits to family who live near Harvard Square. The MIT and Harvard graduations were on the same days, so most of the nearby large hotels were very pricey and very full. We found the Oasis on Google maps searching for hotels in the area, and it seemed very well situated, MIT just a walk or short ride over the Mass Ave bridge and Harvard Square just beyond. The location turned out to be ideal, and what was particularly nice is that it is located in the midst of the city, but by being one street away from busy Mass Ave, it is like you are in a quaint, residential area, with some nice nearby parks for sitting--and access to the businesses on Mass Ave by entering through their rear entryways! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast room and breakfast very fresh and ample. The stairs are steep and narrow, but we managed and being in our 80's, we got help from staff and family when needed. Rooms are small but the space is optimally and efficiently furnished.

We have stayed at Oasis several times. The walkable distances from both Symphony Hall and Fenway Park first drew us there. The owners are courteous and the house itself is immaculate and quiet.The rules of the house are stringent, but as older guests, we appreciate that.

My stay here was quiet and enjoyable, the place is close to many shops, the metro, restaurants and parks. I was able to do many activities thanks to that without concern. The hotel is clean and is in a quiet area, the staff is polite and they help when you need it. .

We stayed here to attend the Harvard Graduation Ceremony. On the check out day, housekeeping was too quick to clear everything out when we weren’t fully ready to leave yet. My husband left his dress shoes in the room and we couldn’t find it. When I talked to the manager about it, they were quick to dismiss me and were of no help. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Great, straightforward comfortable guest house. Nice continental breakfast, helpful staff, great location. Highly recommended if you don't need frills and just want a comfortable bed somewhere central.

This property is in a great location for Symphony Hall and museums. The breakfast is amazing. Unfortunately, the bed in room 22 is like a slab of concrete and the pillows so high and hard they're unusable. There is no information about the city, not even a take away map. There is one in the dimly light entrance but you'd need a stool, magnifying glass and flashlight to read it. The kid at the reception desk, isn't from around there and isn't familiar with the area! And, given where it is, some coffee available, even for purchase, would be HEAVEN!! I would not recommend this guest house.

Modest but very accommodating.

Very much as expected. Not luxurious, but everything was clean, quiet, comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was quite small, and the stairs were steep and narrow, but not unexpected for an older building. Very decent cold breakfast. LOVE how accommodating they were about storing luggage for us between check out time and when we were leaving Boston.
