Nice stay marred by hidden "Destination Fee"... Overall, my stay was excellent. The front desk staff at check-in went above and beyond to help combine my two back-to-back reservations, with only a small transparent upgrade fee, so I wouldn’t have to switch rooms. Of that, I really appreciated. HOWEVER, my positive experience was dampened when I received my bill after checkout and noticed a $20-per-night “Destination Fee” that hadn’t been clearly disclosed. While it's a relatively small amount, it felt like a hidden charge and left a bad impression. It was frustrating to only discover it after leaving the hotel, in a bill attached in an email. The price listed at check out clearly says "Total includes taxes and fees" and even a pop-up that claims "The price you see is what you pay", so it is unreasonable to expect customers to check the fine print to notice the hidden charge ahead of time. It’s a disappointing end to what was otherwise a great stay, and it undermines the trust and goodwill that had been established.
