PERFECT location. The "character" was spot on for why we were in Salam. Lots of historic charm and character. But if you're looking for updated comfort this isn't your hotel. Think peeling wallpaper, old carpet, tile and grout and small spaces.

The room was nice but there was a loud wedding reception with music that went on late, then room next door were very loud, then the roof (we were on the top floor) was having very loud repairs directly above us. I couldn't wait to get out and was offered a full refund.

Great location.....staff is friendly and very helpful. Front desk Juan was so helpful and patient. He help me get my boarding pass I ate breakfast at the Hawthorne. It was delicious 😋
